"You are comfortable." Renesmee said laying her head to his chest. "Baywatch", Kai's wish, was playing on TV and the two were cuddling on the couch.
"Are you saying I'm fat?" He fake gasped playing all offended.
"No, you look amazing." She giggled giving him a kiss. Some time pasted and it was clear that Renesmee could not focus on the TV.
"Kai?"
"Hmm?" He looked down at her.
"What happened at the Salvatores?"
"No, princess, don't ruin this moment." He murmured, but she sat up determined to get her answer.
"Come on. Tell me. It's the Salvatores. Maybe I can help." She offered knowing that Damon has a soft spot for her sad puppy eyes.
"I met your mother." He hesitated.
"What? Are you okay? Anything broken?" She said her hands roaming around his body wanting to find the injury making Kai chuckle.
"I am fine."
"Fine? No, Malachai. You are not fine. She will break whatever deal you made with her, and in the end, you will get hurt. She just wants me back. She is not gonna help you. I want to help you. Let me help you." Renesmee said holding his hand in her's.
"Okay, Renesmee. You are going to the Salvatores with me tomorrow." He sighed.

Next morning, Renesmee woke up with a muscular hand around her tiny figure. She turned around to face to a sleeping Kai Parker.
"You are staring." He suddenly said his eyes still closed. She smiled.
"Sorry. I can't help it."
"Let's get out of here." He said standing up and stumbling to the bathroom. Releasing a sigh, and wishing that the both of them could stay in bed for some more time, Renesmee slowly made her way to the walk in closet. She tossed her jeans on, and a KEEP CALM T-shirt alongside a leather jacket, that Kai bought for her, and ran her hands trough her hair.
"You ready?" He asked stepping in her walk in closet.
"Let's get out of here." She murmured taking his hand. The two raced through the halls of the building. Kai won, or she let him win. It really did not matter.
What mattered is that they were together.
