It has been a week since Jo took her magic back and agreed to do the merge. Everything was going just as how Kai planned, but the date set for the merge was moved for a month. It did make Kai a little angry that his sister wanted to have some time to prepare, but Renesmee calmed him down by saying that it would not be smart to kill his sibling before the merge.

Renesmee felt the bed shift making her whine.

"Kai, come back to bed." She said holding her hands up in the air hoping that she will stop him from leaving. She heard Kai chuckle.

"Princess, we need to get out of that bed eventually."  Kai said.

Oh that morning voice, she thought, it is so husky and perfect.

"But I am not ready to face the real world just yet." Renesmee whined again.

"Cuddle with me." She said sitting up. She was faced with a shirtless Kai, the sight she woke up with for the past few days. He pretended to think about it and jumped on the bed. Renesmee squealed in surprise. Kai wrapped his strong muscular arms around her small body. He lifted her in the air carrying to the bathroom.

"Kai..." She started but she got cut off by his husky voice.

"Wear something nice, princess. We are going to pay your family a visit." He said leaving her alone in the bathroom.

He must've meant the Salvatores and the gang.

Truth to be told, they were her family for a long time now. The Cullens were scattered all over the world ever since her parents decided to move out of Forks. Alice and Jasper were in Paris where Alice was preparing her clothing line. Rosalie and Emmett broke up and he was now a owner of a luxurious casino in Las Vegas. Rosalie spent her time racing professional car racers. She sometimes sents Renesmee pictures. So, her real family was not there for a long time, and the Salvatores filled the spot. It sound harsh when you say your family can be replaced, but that was the reality for the young vampire.

Renesmee was not sure whether to wear casual or formal, so she asked Kai what was the occasion. He answered that it was Bonnie's birthday party. Renesmee wondered why would they make a birthday party if the birthday girl will never show up. She shrugged it off and wore one of the black dresses she got on a shopping spree with Elena and Care a few months ago.

No shit, she thought, my mother will murder me the moment I enter the house.

"Why are you worried about Bella? You are a big girl. You can take care of yourself." Just as she was about to ask how did he knew she was worried about Bella, she remembered her gift. It would go out of control when she had a strong emotion. And Kai was holding her hand, so it was like he read her mind.

"Hey, relax. We did not come here to be their enemies. I think that I can help them communicate with Bonnie. Plus, I have your mom wrapped around my little finger."

"I am ready." Kai informed the group. Damon and Elena held their hands, ready to leave in the prison world. Jeremy was standing there with  fear in his eyes.
