He pulled her so she slowly sat on his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she leaned against his chest. Soon, his chin rested on her shoulder.
"Tired?"
"Medyo?"
"Did you get hurt dun sa 'himatay-himatay' pa-effect mo kanina?"
"No naman....natatawa ako kay Kuya Wally....bagsak kung bagsak e...."
"He asked me kasi kanina kung anong gagawin natin....I told him that you were planning to 'faint' nga...."
"Ahh.."
"Oo....kaya medyo prepared sya to fall...."
"Hmm...."
A little while longer, Maine moved and tried to get up. Rj kept his embrace tight around her waist.
"Stay...."
"....my bag...."
"Si Mama na bahala dun....you packed everything naman na diba?"
"Oo....pero...."
"....."
"Pero nakakahiya naman....."
"No na....sya na bahala...." Rj assured Maine. "Ma...yung bag din ni Maine, please...." Rj called out to Mama Ten who was fixing their things.
"....your ride's ready.....let's go!" One of the staff called out from the door.
Maine stood up then Rj. He quickly got her hand and intertwined his fingers with hers. Maine walked ahead of him. As soon as the doors opened and they were greeted by fans, they let go of their hold and Rj gently put his hand on Maine's lower back to "guide" her to the waiting van across the parking area. They waved and smiled at their fans who were in the area. Maine got into the vehicle first followed by Rj. To their fans' delight, they were seated beside each other. As soon as the doors closed and the indoor light dimmed, Maine rested her head on Rj's shoulder. She napped on the way to their hotel. They had dinner with some of their fans before retiring for the night.
"....ganito pala ang US tour no?...." Maine said as she rested her head on Rj's chest, patting it with her hand.
"....hmmm.....sleep na tayo....maaga pa flight natin pa-New York...."
"....masaya....nakakatuwa....."
"...I'm happy na happy ka......wag ka na tampo, please...."
"....tampo pa ba ako kung ganito akong nakahiga dito?"
"......." Rj kissed her on the top of head. "Salamat.....I really want to stay longer.....but you know how our work is like.....besides....it's for us naman e.....sa future natin....."
"Sorry din na nagtampo ako.....selfish ako....."
"No worries.....alam ko naman na I promised you time.....and I've always done my best to give you that...."
"I know....I love you..."
"I love you, Sungs!"
Maine looked up and gave Rj a kiss on the lips before settling her head back on his chest and sleeping. Rj, on the other hand, nuzzled his face on her hair and closed his eyes and slept.
