It’s still dark. It must be just before dawn. Last night was just spent quietly at home, relaxing after a week of work. Rj is awakened by clicking noises. A dim light filters through his consciousness. He feels the side of the bed – it is cool and empty. He opens his eyes and confirms that it is still dark outside. He sits up and slowly rests his chin on the crook of her neck.
“….what are you doing? Come back to bed…” he says sleepily as he gently exhales into her neck.
“…go back to sleep…I’ll just finish this then matutulog na rin ako ulit…” Maine tussles his hair and kisses his head.
“…ano ba yan?”
“…just updating my blog about the OBB we shot for work…sige na…sleep ka na ulit….malapit na ako matapos…”
Rj lays back down and is soon snoring softly. Maine turns to look at her sleeping hubby and smiles. She takes a few selfies for her entry and publishes her work. She closes her laptop and lays back down on the bed, her head on Rj’s bicep, embracing him as she closes her eyes to sleep.
