"Hi Love. Landed safely in Manila this morning. It was a good thing I changed itinerary, wala masyadong gulo pagdating ko. Thanks for reminding me to contact Kuya Erick, too. I hope your flight arrives safely. See you! I'll pick you up."
Rj headed straight home to rest and bond with his family before heading off again to the city to pick up his lady-love. Gone, for now, were the days where they could freely roam the streets almost anonymously even in the bustling metropolis of New York. While they "dated" on those few days spent abroad, Rj made mental notes of future trips he would want to take with Maine. The "alone time" they had together was priceless.
She stepped off the plane, weary from half a day's travel from half-way across the world. Maine whipped out her phone as soon as she could.
"I'm here, Love...."
That was all she needed and wanted. She walked hurriedly past security and baggage claim. Her entourage took care of their baggage. "...Nay, nandyan na po ba si Tatay?"
"Oo....kasama Kuya mo....ikaw?"
"Nandyan na rin po si Rj...."
"O sige....mag-ingat kayo....text mo ako pagdating nyo sa bahay...."
"Opo...."
Maine took her suitcase and wheeled it towards their "secret" place where Rj was, holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Welcome home!" He said as he gave her the bouquet and kissed her on the lips.
"Wow! May pa-flowers pa! Thank you!" She kissed him back.
He took her bags. He looked over her shoulder, "...si Nanay?"
"Sinundo na rin nina Tatay at Kuya...."
"Ah....si Kuya Mike?"
"May sumundo na rin...."
"Ah ok....let's go?" He smiled and wheeled her luggage out the door and into their waiting vehicle.
"Ikaw nag-drive?"
"Oo....pinagpahinga ko muna si Kuya Erick....may sakit din daw kasi yung baby nya e..."
"Ah..."
"....si Mama....ayun, borlog pa...." Rj chuckled as he drove out of the parking area.
"....haaay....back to reality...." Maine exhaled as they drove through Metro Manila's early morning traffic. "Love, did you get to rest pagdating mo?"
"Oo naman....how was your flight?"
"Okay naman....surprisingly, walang baby sa flight!"
"Ah talaga? Good. Good."
"Kamusta naman sa economy?"
"Okay lang....medyo cramped pero okay din....umiyak lang yung isang baby pag take-off pero other than that, okay yung flight...."
"Nakatulog ka?'
"Ako pa!"
"Ay! Nakalimutan kong masa ka pala...." Maine giggled.
"Hehehe!.....are you hungry?"
"Okay lang ako....teka? Di naman to ang way pauwi ah....Rj....."
"....check-in muna tayo....you have one more full day of this vacation....let's spend time together....."
"Ahh....staycation?"
"Yes" Rj smiled as he pulled up at the hotel driveway and the bellhop and valet took care of them.
"Suite please...."
"Yes, Sir!" The front desk personnel attended to them immediately.
The bellhop brought them to their room and placed their bags inside. "Welcome, Ma'am....Sir....have a good stay!" He closed the door behind him as the couple entered the room.
