Mmkay guys, so I might've lied. I thought about this chapter being the actual date, but I got carried abway with writing, and well... before I realized how much I had written enough to post. So I apologize for this bit of... errrr... a filler chapter. =P
As many of you know, this weekend is Easter, and I have a lot to do in the next few days. I have Passover dinner tonight, Communion tomorrow, Saturday will be Dungeons and Dragons night with my friends and brother, and well, Sunday is Easter. I hope to get some time to write between all of that, but I'm not sure if that will be a lot.
Anyhow, here's Chapter 8! And I promise the date is next chapter. =)

Adrianna awoke to sunshine hitting her face. The girl immediately flipped over, hiding her eyes from the blinding light. She closed her eyes, trying to go back to sleep. Adrianna didn't want to think about crawling out of bed, let alone anything else. But then she remembered.
She began searching for her phone, forgetting the fact that she had wanted to remain in bed. She missed Tom's phone call, she was sure of it. The girl eventually found her phone on the floor beside her bed; it must've fallen off during the course of the night. Adrianna pushed her hair out of her eyes as she snatched it up from the carpeted floor below her. She scanned the phone's screen. No missed calls, two unread text messages, nothing unusual. She looked through her call log and saw that he had in fact called her, and she had talked for two minutes and thirty eight seconds. She didn't remember doing that, let alone falling asleep!
The girl sighed. She really needed to stop doing that. She began to look through her inbox and saw he had messaged her soon after they had talked last: By the way, you sound super cute when you're half asleep. Hope you sleep well and I can't wait for our date tomorrow. :)
Adrianna began blushing profusely. Tom really had a way with getting to her. She shook her head as she went on to read the other message, aptly from her mom. Her mom liked to check in on her often, just to "make sure she's okay." She did it more so now that she was a whole ocean away from her. Adrianna didn't buy that reason, but she let it slide since it was her mom, after all. Adrianna read the message she had left: Hi sweetie! What's on the agenda for today?
Adrianna debated silently in her head for a moment what to tell her mom. She would be sure to freak out if she told her she had a date just like she always did. Sometimes she thought her mom thought she was still a baby. Adrianna eventually decided to tell the truth: Just woke up, actually. It's almost eleven here, and I have to start getting ready. I have a date tonight with an amazing guy. I'm making that vegetable pizza for him! :)
Adrianna sauntered out of her bedroom and into the living room where she found Marisa and Valarie already sitting there watching TV. She shook her head; they were practically sitting in the same spots as they were last night when she went to bed. She took her seat between them, closing her eyes once again.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty," Val teased.
"Oh shut up," she muttered back.
"What? Mad you have less time to get dolled up?" her friend questioned.
Adrianna gave Valarie the look. "Don't remind me."
Marisa punched Adrianna's arm lightly. "Oh, it'll be okay! He'll come over, you'll eat some dinner, and then... well... I dunno!"
Adrianna sighed. "It's that 'I dunno' part that bugs me. I mean seriously, what is there to do here? He's going to be bored outside his ever loving mind!"
