So it's official. This story has been by far my most successful story! After only being posted a few days ago, it has already received at my last check 250 reads, and it reached #30 on the fan fiction list! =) I am really motivated right now to keep that going! =D

So without further to do, here is chapter 3. =)

Having placed their orders, Adrianna and Tom sat patiently waiting for their food. Adrianna sat across from him, drinking her iced tea quietly. She glanced up at him, still trying to place his face. She had seen him somewhere before, that was certain, but where?

Before Adrianna could get too lost into her own thoughts, Tom interrupted them. "So, Adrianna, mind telling me a little about you?" he asked.

"Sure," Adrianna said nervously. "Um... my name is Adrianna Williams. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan; I recently moved here. I'm twenty three years old, and I enjoy writing, playing soccer errr... football, and watching hockey." She paused for a moment before she asked back, "You?"

Tom smiled. "I'm Tom Felton, born here in London. I'm twenty four, and I like fishing, playing all sorts of sports, and playing guitar."

And that's when Adrianna realized who she was talking to. "Tom Felton? As in the same Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy?"

Tom laughed quietly. "Yea, that's me."

Adrianna withheld a scream. "Well this is embarrassing... here I am, having had this ridiculous crush on Tom Felton for all these years, and here I am talking to him on a date. Am I on Punk'd or something?"

"Oh no, this is real," he assured her. "Just... try not to make too much commotion about it. It's hard to go out without paparazzi anymore."

Adrianna covered her mouth. "My bad."

"It's fine, it's fine," he laughed.

"But... I thought you had a girlfriend? Jade?" Adrianna asked.

Tom rolled his eyes at the mere mention of the name. "We weren't good for each other, so it was best we went our separate ways." He took a deep breath before asking, "Well what about you? Surely you have someone?"

Adrianna shook her head. "No... I... just got out of a really bad relationship. I wasted a lot of time on a jerk..." She turned away from him, glancing at her feet. She felt a tear roll down her face. She felt something brush it away; she looked up to see Tom moving back into his seat. He had reached across the table and wiped it away.

"Well, I think it's safe to say that they're both in the past now," he stated. "No need to worry about them. There's a reason they didn't make it to our futures."

Adrianna nodded as the waiter set the salad down in front of them. As soon as he walked away, she continued, "So that Rupert guy you mentioned last night, is Rupert Grint then?"

Tom nodded. "Yea that was him alright."

"I'm so glad my roommate is out of town then," Adrianna laughed. "She is in love with Rupert! If she would've known I was here with you right now-"

"Your friend sounds like she's quite the character," he smiled. "Maybe they'll be able to meet up later on."

"She would probably die of a heart attack!" Adrianna laughed, helping herself to the salad. "Like you have no idea..."

Tom took the tongs from her once she was done. "How did you manage to convince your friends to come with you when you moved? I don't think any of mine would, not even Rupert or Matt."

"Well, Valarie and I have been best friends since we were in kindergarten, through thick and thin, so naturally she follows me and vice versa," Adrianna explained. "And Marisa and I met over the internet, and well... we instantly became friends."

"Over the internet?" Tom raised an eyebrow.

"Yea! We both write in our spare time, and we read each other's stories, and bam! We clicked," Adrianna explained. "We met up one day for a Halloween party, and then we went to a hockey game, and we've been great friends ever since."

Tom smiled. "So you what do you write?"

Adrianna felt herself blushing. "A little bit of everything... some action, some romance, some fan fiction..."

That last one piqued Tom's interest. "Fan fiction? About what may I ask?"

"There's a reason I'm blushing, Tom," Adrianna laughed, nervously. "The first stories she and I had read of each other's were Harry Potter fan fictions. That was a few years back though. Right after the books had ended."

Tom smiled. "Well, creativity is always a plus, I think. Shows intelligence, something a lot of people lack these days. Perhaps I'll have to read these stories one day."

Adrianna found herself smiling back at him as the waiter returned once again with their meals. "Oh you wouldn't have to do that," she said, as she began twirling her spaghetti, hoping she was just imagining the fact that she was once again blushing. "I don't think they were really any good..."

Tom raised an eyebrow at that remark. "I'm sure they were fine."

Adrianna resumed eating her food, or more like playing with it. She had been too nervous to be eating much of anything. She had been twirling the spaghetti on her plate for several minutes already. Normally Adrianna didn't act this shy; normally she was the one doing the talking, not the other way around. Not that she minded; every other guy she had gone out with had been ridiculously shy, or afraid of her for whatever reason.

On top of that, her mind was still trying to comprehend that she was sitting there with Tom Felton. This just wasn't some normal guy. He could've had anyone he wanted, and yet here he sat with her. She wondered why...

"So... if you don't mind me asking, and I don't want to come across as... rude," she began, "but why would you take me out? Out of all the girls on the planet, you pick me?"

"I understand why you would ask that," Tom said calmly. He glanced at his plate for a moment before saying, "I'm so used to girls throwing themselves at me; all of them just like me for what I am, not who I am. Something about you was different. You were sitting alone, not searching out anyone in particular."

Adrianna understood that one. Guys typically just liked her because she was "hot," not because of her brains or personality. Honestly, she was glad that he was different than the others. "Well, I'm glad you did," she smiled. "I've had a lot of fun. I just hope I haven't bored you to death. My life isn't that interesting."

Tom shook his head. "Your life isn't that boring, actually. I mean, you moved here with your friends, you write... come on now. You're not boring."

"I'm glad you think so," Adrianna smiled.

Before Tom could reply the both of them heard what sounded like a loud slurping noise coming from a table a few rows away. They turned to look at the girl sitting there. She had a cup of coffee pressed up to her lips, a large pair of sunglasses and a sun hat attempting to cover her face. Adrianna knew almost too well that it was probably a poorly disguised Valarie spying on them. She just shook her head as Tom brought his attention back to her.

"Well, I have a feeling it's just the beginning of a far more exciting life for you," Tom decided. He glanced at his watch for a second before he looked back up at Adrianna. "It's still early. Want to get out of here, and catch a movie or something?"

"Works for me," Adrianna replied.

Adrianna's mind was racing. This was admittedly the most fun she had had in a while. And with Tom Felton at that? Perhaps he was right; maybe her life would be far more interesting now. But, she supposed, only time would tell.
