Hey guys! Finally got this done! Yes, this chapter is very much so based off of a real event that happened only a few days ago. =P MrsDButler and smnthb could tell you all about it. =P

Hope you all enjoy it, and my first attempt at a slideshow. =)

Adrianna sat in the back of Sam's Jeep. The girls and Sam's boyfriend were following behind the rest of Adrianna's friends to the local Starbucks. They were all very aware of the situation, what had been said to her by Matthias the night previously. It was all too obvious that Adrianna needed time out of the house and time with her friends to keep her mind off of the event. Sam knew all too well that the girl needed to unwind, but she also knew Adrianna was not going to just let it go.

"Oh Dree, don't let it get to you," Sam tried to cheer her up. "Sides... once Tom gets home I'm sure he'll take care of Matthias."

"Don't worry," Sam's boyfriend, the one and only Ed Sheeran, assured her. "Matthias is a jerk, and it's quite obvious to me he needs his attitude adjusted."

Adrianna didn't smile. She wasn't happy. In fact, she was far from it. She knew it too, as even reading her favorite book didn't even help her. Even as she sat in the car now, the gold cover of Artemis Fowl teased her eyes, although the book's shine had seemed just as dimmed as the light in the girl's eyes. She had decided that at this point, the only thing that would make her smile was seeing Matthias having his face punched in. That would just tickle her to death. But unfortunately, that would have to wait, at least for now.

"I know he does, but there's nothing we can do about it right now," Adrianna said quietly. "Let's just hope we can hold him off until Tom gets home."

"Speaking of him, have you told him yet?" Sam asked.

Adrianna nodded. "He called me last night, and I told him about it. He was far from happy about what was said. Tom said that he was going to try to get his flight moved up so he can be home sooner. I dunno if he managed that or not yet. It's still super early over there, so he's sleeping."

"Hopefully he'll get home sooner rather than later," Ed hoped, pulling into the parking lot behind Matt's car.

"Uh yea, 'cause he has some ass to kick," Sam added.

Adrianna rolled her eyes. "No one is going to be kicking anyone's ass. Even if it is so obvious that they need it."

Sam sighed. "But c'mon Dree! Matthias needs it! Don't tell me you think Tom and the rest of us are just going to let him weasel his way back in. My foot is itchin' to kick someone, and if Tom doesn't kick him, I definitely will. No one hurts my little sister."

"Matthias isn't going to weasel his way in anywhere," Adrianna assured. "Believe me. I learned my lesson the first time. Not going to happen again."

"That's the answer I was hoping to hear!" Ed answered, expertly parking his car. "This boy is just poison, he can't be any good for you. I'm glad you're steering clear of him."

Unbuckling herself, Adrianna replied, "Well what did you expect? I'd have to be crazy to go back to him."

Sam snorted as she undid her seatbelt and started getting out of the car. "But you are crazy, Adrianna. We never know what you're thinking!"

Adrianna rolled her eyes, grabbing her book and purse as she stepped out of the car. "Crazy, definitely. Stupid, no."

The girl's friends laughed at her as the group of seven young adults made their way into the coffee shop. Adrianna felt a tad out of place among all the couples. She had heard of third and fifth wheels, but never a seventh. Upon all of them ordering their coffees, or in Adrianna's case, a double chocolate chip frappuccino, they took their seats at a huge table by the window.

Adrianna kept her mind away from the conversation for a while, quietly reading her book and drinking what she had deemed "Death by Chocolate," letting her mind slip away to the fictional scene in the book. She giggled quietly to herself, "'I don't like lollipops.' Oh of course you don't Arty."

Valarie glanced over at her. "Are you seriously rereading that book again?"

Adrianna gave her friend a serious look. "Yea, as a matter of fact I am. You know how much Artemis helps me. Now if only I could get Butler to come here and shoot someone for me..."

Marisa rolled her eyes. "That would be way too convenient. Not to mention a lot of people would get in more trouble than they already are, including you."

Adrianna sighed. "Tell me about it..." She looked up at Sam who was sipping on a caramel macchiato. "They didn't give you one of those nifty stirry things this time."

Sam gave her friend a questioning look. "What are you talking about?"

"Last time we were here, they gave you a nifty, green stirry stick thing!" Adrianna insisted, for whatever reason the real name of the object in question escaping her.

Sam shook her head as Valarie interjected, "The one that looks like a sword?"

Adrianna nodded, causing Rupert to add his say to the conversation. "Dude! I'm going to go get you one!"

"Please don't; it's unnecessary," Sam pleaded, but it was too late. Rupert had already jumped up and was half way to the register.

Adrianna watched as her friend beckoned the cashier. "Hey! My friend back there, the girl with the red hair, wanted to know if she could have a nifty green stirry thing that looks like a sword?" Rupert asked, trying his hardest not to smile.

By this point, everyone but Sam was laughing. Her face had turned the same shade as her hair and she was in the process of burying her head in her hands. It was all too obvious that she was embarrassed.

The guy at the cash register was laughing so hard he almost in tears as he handed Rupert the stirrer. "You know sir, I've heard a lot of things working at this place, but that is the first time I have ever heard that one."

Rupert practically strutted back over to the group, handing Sam her stirrer. "Told you I was going to get it!" He took his seat back next to Marisa, placing his arm on the back of her chair.

Sam stared at the green stick for a moment before sighing. "I swear if I can't come back into here without being laughed at I'm going to kill all of you."

The rest of the group continued laughing hysterically. Adrianna went to go back to her book but she felt her phone go off. Instinctively she answered without looking at the caller ID. "Helloooooo," she chorused into the phone.

"Well hello gorgeous," the voice answered. "Where are you at?"

"We are at the Starbucks," Adrianna smiled, calming immediately at the sound of Tom's voice. "Why?"

"I'm home, and I'm ready to see you in person."
