Hey everyone! Sorry about the delay in this chapter. Been busy and what not. Got a lot on my plate (and mind) recently. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things here soon. This story is almost complete. Only a few more chapters. And... I'm thinking maybe a sequel? Opinions would be great. =) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy chapter 32. =)

Adrianna stepped into the stagnant air of her apartment. She took a deep breath; there really was no place quite like home. Although she loved her hometown and the vacation town she had frequented since she was a young girl, there was no denying that London was her home now. There was no other place quite like it, and Adrianna was certainly glad she had decided to move there in the first place.

The girl sat down her suitcase just inside the door, and made her way into the living room, allowing space for the rest of the group to come inside. Adrianna collapsed onto the sofa, practically sinking into it. She closed her eyes, ready to sleep in her own bed for the first time in over a week. She felt someone sit down next to her, and without even having to open her eyes, she knew it was Tom; she had gotten this uncanny ability to know it was him without looking. Something to do with his cologne and weight distribution, but Adrianna was far too tired to think about that at the moment. She didn't want to get too comfortable though; she promised Tom she would go back to his house for a while afterwards. Somehow she had to stay awake.

"Whenever you're ready, love, we'll head over to my house for a minute or two," Tom said quietly, his voice coming right from where she thought it would be.

"The sooner, the better," Adrianna muttered, opening her eyes. She noticed all of her friends had scattered themselves around the living room. "I'm finding myself to be a victim of jetlag. The last thing I want to do is pass out and you getting stuck carrying me."

"Touché," Tom chuckled. "Well, if you want to get this all over with, we should head off." He looked at the rest of the group. "You're all free to follow if you'd like, but I'm certainly not forcing you."

Marisa and Valarie exchanged glances. "I'm just going to head to bed," Marisa admitted. "Thanks for the offer, but... perhaps some other time."

"Yea, me too," Valarie added in.

Tom shrugged. "Suit yourself." Adrianna raised her eyebrow to that remark. She had a feeling that Tom knew something that they didn't. She shook the feeling as she forced herself off the couch, even though she so didn't want to.

"I'll be back later then," Adrianna stated. "Please don't trash the apartment."

Before anyone could answer her with some witty remark, she and Tom made their way out of the apartment. The whole way to Tom's house, she couldn't help but think he knew something. Just moments before they pulled into the driveway, Adrianna plucked up enough courage to ask him. "Is there something that I should know about?" she asked.

Tom gave her a puzzled look. "I have no idea what you're talking about, Dree." Adrianna gave him a serious look. That had to have been the most sarcastic answer he had ever given her. Something was up, she just didn't know what.

They pulled into the driveway, and nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary. But why should there be? Adrianna thought. If something was going to happen, whether it was good or bad, Tom wouldn't have put it all in the open. It wasn't like him. Adrianna shook the thoughts once again as they exited the car and made their way up to the front door. Tom unlocked the door, and made his way inside, snickering quietly to himself in the process. As he stepped inside, he called out, "Guys, I know you're here, so you can quit trying to surprise me."
