Dreamer

78 12 11

She tasted like citrus and sugarcane
Lilies intertwined in her hair
She smelled like homemade cookies
Her dress flowed everywhere

Her fingernails painted pink
Her eyes the green of the forest
Just for a second you'd think
That out of all the girls, she was the purest

But everyone hides a secret
And this girl's was very intense
She told you, now you have to keep it
It's one you couldn't have guessed

This beautiful girl is a murderer
Blood dripping down her chin
And you realize that you're afraid of her
Because no matter what, she will win.

Author's Note!

So! This is my first poem. It's based off of a girl in a dream I had. I had actually gotten the first two lines of the poem FROM the dream. That kind of thing happens to me sometimes. I like it. To be honest, poetry is a huge outlet for me, and I write about so many things. I'll normally let you know what and who they're about, but sometimes I write without inspiration, and I figure out what/who it's about later.

Thanks for reading my first poem, loves!
