Swim

  -Swim-

You're falling

You're slipping into the deep end
Filled up with emotion
Like you've been awakened
Magic words were spoken

And you hear them again

And suddenly you're awake and swimming
And all you can hear is those words

I care

And you fight against the cold water
And you reach the top

And take air into your lungs
And just breathe the words

A feeling of elation
Spreads across your body as you realize
Your chest is no longer tight

And you can see
And breathe
And fucking feel

And you're alive again.

And you realize that you always have been
But you were just scared.

And it's better above the waves
Because the water has given way
And you can think.

And you're alright.

Author's Note Time!

Hellllllloooo dears! I thought about putting a picture of a deer in the media slot thing so I could make a pun, then decided better of it. I do make a lot of puns though. The reason I wrote this poem is because (TRIGGER WARNING) I was thinking about killing myself, and as I was saying my goodbyes to my online friends, one of them told me that they cared. It doesn't normally help, but that night, those words hit me hard. So I wrote about it. It was originally a lot longer, but I cut out the bad part. It just didn't seem to fit with the rest of the poem. Thanks again for reading, guys! Shoutouts to Savy_Pearson and edgeloaf for telling me to start this book!

Bye dears!
