We Save Each Other (Possible Trigger Warning)

It's raining
It's pouring

It's coming down
I'm snoring

A story
Is playing

I see it
You're saying

It's my time
To end it all

It's my turn
To see me fall

To take the plunge
And not turn back

To hear myself scream
To see myself crack

And I shout no
Grab you around the waist

You're life's in my hands
I won't let it go to waste

You're breathing hard
I'm crying now

Terrified of
You dying now

Hold it together
Just for me

We save each other
Now leave the pills be.

Author's Note!

I don't know if you guys know by now or not, but two very special people helped motivate me to put my poems into this book on this website. Last night I had a horrible dream about one of them. I had a dream that they hated themselves so much, and that they were so ready to end it all that, in the dream of course, they were going to kill themselves.

I walked in on them holding a handful of pills - I know which ones they were because I used to take them - and a glass of water. In the dream, I flipped the frick out. I had knocked the pills out of her hand and pulled her away from the bottle, away from the room, then my alarm went off.

I remember waking up this morning in tears, because I couldn't stand to even imagine a world without one of my best friends. I told Savy_Pearson about that dream today at lunch. I was still pretty shaken up. She just looked at me and said, "Do you know what this means?" I shook my head. "We save each other."

And so I bolted off down the hallway to my classroom, in search of a pen and paper. Thank you so much, Savy, for being there for me. Thank you so much for being one of my biggest inspirations yet. Love you!

For those of you that don't know, I've struggled with suicidal thoughts for a while now. I ended up going to a mental hospital for it a while back. Savy is the one that prompted me to get the help I needed. To tell my parents. So basically, in the long run, Savy saved my life. She is so incredible in so many ways, and she's such a great writer.

This author's note has probably gone on long enough, though. So I love you guys! Bye!
