Momma

It's Mother's Day
It's time I say
You laid down your life for me
And now I pray
That I may also say
Thank you
But in my own way

From the time I was born, you've been on my side
Never ran from the bad that blurred my life
Through it all
You've been along for the ride

From the time I could crawl
I've always given you trouble
And when my sister came along
Everything turned upside down
And the trouble was doubled

You believed in me from my first steps
You caught me when I fell
And through my life you've never left
Even when I made yours hell

You watched as I learned to ride a bike
Always taught me wrong from right
When I felt there was wrong in me
You showed me my light
And for that I am forever thankful

Now I'm starting to grow up
We've become even closer
In my own way I'm seeing life's cup
As I'm getting older and older
You make it fuller and fuller

You're still there for the ride
You still catch me when I fall
I see the light you gave to me
And now I can be here for you
Through it all

For as long as we both shall live
I promise you that I will give
My all in my life
And I promise to help you with yours
As much as I possibly can
I love you Momma,
You've made me the way I am.

Author's Note!

Hey everyone. I'm not sure how many of you are still reading, but I wrote this for Mother's Day. It made my mom cry. I felt really bad about it, but she loved it.

She's always been there for me. Always. Even through my self harm and near suicide attempts. She's been by my side through my rights and wrongs. She's been here through my ups and downs. We've had our disagreements and fights, but despite all of that, she is still fighting for me. Pardon my language, but I fucking love that I can call this pulchritudinous, perfect woman my mother.

I can go to her for anything. I can talk to her about anything. I can be who I really am with her. She raised me right.

You know how some girls can't stand the fact that they'll turn into their mothers when they're older? I'm worried that I won't be like her. My mom is such an inspiration. She has taught me so much.

On another note, I'm thinking about putting philosophies in this too. I tend to have a lot of philosophical thoughts. A. Lot. So I'm looking for opinions. I doubt anyone is reading, but if you are, should I put it in another book or should I put it here?
