Chapter 11 new friends

My Alarm goes off for school and I get up and turn it off. I hop in the shower and get out, I get ready for school and I grab my bag, and phone and head downstairs.

Im going to school! I yell

Ok says dad

I walk out my door to see Jake on the sidewalk down the street. I wait for him to catch up and we walk to school together.  We sit together until the bell rings. I walk into my first period which was English. I walk in and take my seat. We get done and we have the rest of the period to work on  homework. Someone taps my Sholder, I look up to see a girl

Hey she says

Hi I say

Im Jordan she says

Lauren. I say

This is Carli, Blake, Taylor, Eric, Mike, spencer and Mariah. She says

I wave to them and they wave back

The bell rings and we walk to our next class

The bell for lunch comes and im walking with jake when I hear my name

Lauren! Yells Mariah

She tells us to come sit down and we do, we eat lunch and then talk  until the bell rings

The bell rang and we all headed to class.

(skipping to final bell)

The final bell rang and we all meet in the front of the school. We all walk home together

We walk in the house and Lisa, Amy, Katherine, Christina and Dani are singing while Lisa plays the piano. They stop singing and look at me.

Lisa, Christina, Katherine, Amy and Dani, this is Mariah, Spencer, Jordan, Carli, Blake, Eric, Mike and Taylor. My new friends I said

Nice to meet you says Amy

Lauren meet us at the Beach at 4 says Mariah

Ok will do I say

They leave and I shut the door

Lauren! Yells lisa and Christina

What! I ask

You made new friends! Says Lisa

Yeah i know I said

Im so happy for you! Says Christina

Thanks I say.

Something wrong? She asks

Yeah, Amber comes back tomorrow I say

You cant go to school tomorrow! Says Katherine

I have to, I have missed to much and plus I have Jake, Taylor, Mike, Eric and Blake now, she wont be able to get near me. Say

Okay she says

Im going to go get ready for the beach I say

Ok they say

I grab my stuff and run up the stairs.

I put my swimsuit on and get ready

My phone buzzes and its from a unknown number

The text read

Your new friend is in trouble

I reply

Who?

I get a response

Mariah, better hurry tides strong today, you have five minutes to get to the pier, before I throw her off.

I run down the stairs and through the front door

Lauren? Yells Lisa

I keep running and pick up my pace.

Lisa’s P.O.V

Lauren just booked it out of the house. She’s running toward the pier so we run after her She is so fast though it’s hard to keep up. We eventually lose her in the crowd. We look around for her but cant find her anywhere.

Laurens PO.V

I run to the pier and I see someone holding Mariah

Mariah! I yell

Lauren yells Mariah

The person throws Mariah over and runs off

Lauren yells Lisa

I run and hop up on a bench, hop the rail and jump. I hit the cold water.

Lisa’s P.O.V

Lauren just jumped and the tide was crazy strong. We run to the railing and see Lauren helping someone to shore, I think it was Mariah.  But I’m not sure.

Laurens p.o.v

We finally get to shore. I pull Mariah up on the sand and I collapse.

Lisa, Katherine, Dani, Amy and Christina come up and then, the group comes in.

Babe, are you ok? Asks Jake (to Lauren)

I’m good she says

Blake helps Mariah up and pulls her into a hug

She lets go and then hugs Lauren tight.

Let’s go to our house I say

Ok they all say

We start walking back to the house.

Lisa’s P.O.V

We start walking back to the house and I notice something I didn’t notice before.

Lauren and Jake were hand in hand

Mariah and Blake were hand in hand

Eric and Carli were hand in hand

Spencer and Mike were hand in hand

Taylor and Jordan were hand in hand

They all looked so cute together.

Lauren and Mariah go upstairs and they come back in dry clothes, Lauren let Mariah borrow clothes, they were the same exact size.  We all sit down and watch Pitched Perfect. When the movies over all of Laurens friends leave and then I go over to Lauren

Can we talk? I ask

Yeah she says

How did you know Mariah was in trouble? I ask

I got a text from an unknown number saying be at the Pier in 5 minutes or she will be thrown into the water. So I knew it was a 10 minute walk from home so I ran as fast as I could

That was so risky jumping into the water like that; the tide was crazy strong today. I said

I wasn’t about to lose my best friend. She says

You ok? You’re pale. I say

Oh she says

You look sick, why don’t you go lay down for a while I say

Ok she says

She gets up and goes upstairs

Laurens P.O.V

I all of a sudden don’t feel good. Lisa notices and tells me to go upstairs and lay down for a while.  I go upstairs and change into my Pajamas and lay in my bed and think to myself, Maybe I’m just nervous about Amber coming back. I relax and fall asleep

Lisa’s P.O.V

I am so proud of Lauren for saving Mariah today, I don’t think I would ever have the guts to do what she did and jump. I was afraid when I fell. I never realized how strong of a swimmer Lauren was, she was much stronger than I thought. I’m glad Lauren made new friends; she needs friend like Mariah for support when I can’t be there for her at school. I’m worried about how tomorrow will go for Lauren, because of Amber coming back, I know she will be fine with her new friends protecting her from Amber. Maybe im being to overprotective of Lauren
