Chapter 15- Trouble

I step out of the house  and shut the door behind me.

What do you want  I ask

Lauren listen, we want to be friends again, we miss the old days, hanging out, going to parties, the beach, sleep overs all of that stuff. Says Katie

No im done with all of you, I say

What. Says Katie

You heard me I said no. I said

Why asks Katie

Why? Are you really asking me I said

First off Amber cut me up and wouldn’t leave me alone, you all have been rude to me, I don’t miss any of you, I’m glad were not friends, I never want to be friends with you again. I say bluntly

Sara grabs my arm

Lets go for a walk she says

Let me go right now! I say

They drag me down to the sidewalk.

I pull back one last time and then Max comes up and punches me hard in the stomach.

I turn my head to see the group walking  up to the house, they see me and come running up

Hey! Let her go! Yells Eric

Sara’s p.o.v

You got a problem with her? Says Blake

Yeah I do says Sara

If you have a problem with her you have a problem with us. He says

I kick Sara’s legs out from under her and she hits the ground. I run passed the boys and I pull my phone out and call Mariah. I then look up and Sara’s gone.

Lauren look out! Yells Mariah

Before I can react I felt a sharp object touch my back. She makes me turn around so im facing everyone. I can see the group and my family, well at least the older ones.

If any of you move this knife goes in her back yells Sara

You won’t says Blake

What did you just say? She says

You heard me you wont hurt her with so many people around, look around! Your causing a scene. And people are coming out of their houses to see whats going on!  There are little kids around, your going to hurt someone In front of them, you will scare them for life. Says Blake

Yeah I think  she says

I will I felt the knife from my back to my side, I bite my lip hard so I don’t scream in front of anyone. She pulls the knife out and holds it to my back again. No one noticed that she cut me.

Mess with me, that’s ok, mess with my friends and family your done I say

 I pull my arm back and hit her in the face, I then kick her legs out from under her and she hits the ground hard again,

Caleb get her! She says

Caleb comes over and I knee him in the area, I push him to the ground and he doesn’t get up,  arms wrap around me and they squeeze me tight. I forgot Max was still here, I kick him in the area, he falls to the ground. All the boys in the group run over and hold them down. My sweatshirt is on the ground I put it on and wipe the knife off and I throw it. I walk over to Lisa, Christina, and Mariah. They hug me and we wait for the police. They come and I give them my statement. We all go into the house and sit around.  Lisa, Amy, Christina, Dani, Katherine and Mariah are singing. I slowly sit on the stairs because there was nowhere else to sit and I couldn’t stand anymore. I felt so weak, maybe I should have told them that I got cut.. nah im fine, it will stop soon, I lay back on the stairs. I can feel my eyelids get heavy I turn around and head up the stairs. When I get to the top I hear my name

Lauren are you ok? Asks Blake

They all stop singing and everyone is looking at me. I can feel the blood soaking through my sweatshirt. I collapse at the top of the stairs. Mariah runs up and so does Lisa.

Lisa puts her hand on my side  and then lifts it up, her hand was covered in blood. She then takes my sweatshirt off and lifts my shirt just above my cut. She put her hand on it and put pressure on it

Call an Ambulance! She yells

Lauren stay with us, she says

Lauren why didn’t you say anything? Asks Mariah

I start coughing, I lift my arm up and I wipe my mouth, there was blood coming from my mouth.. I start to freak out, I sit up fast and pain shoots through my body. I start to hyperventilate and can’t breathe. Lisa grabbed me and brought me downstairs and set me on the ground. Then putting pressure on my cut again, they bandage it and then Lisa puts my shirt down.

Lauren focus she says

Mariah grabs my hand and she says

Lauren look at me, don’t look at anyone except me, keep your eyes on me. She says

I keep my eyes on her and she keeps talking to me.

The paramedics come and push Mariah away

I start to Hyperventilate again and then they let Mariah talk to me again. The load me on the stretcher and put me in the ambulance. Lisa and Mariah get in and we drive to the hospital. We get to the hospital and  they roll me down a long hall, they put a oxygen mask on me and I slowly pass out.

Mariah’s P.O.V

I cant believe Lauren got cut and no one noticed, and that she didn’t tell anyone, that’ does explain why she put her sweatshirt. I never knew she could take people down. When she took down Caleb, Sara and Max I was so proud of her. I’m so glad she finally stood up for herself. It was so scary when she collapsed at the top of the stairs, she could have collapsed and fell down the stairs hurting herself even more. The paramedics let me go with Lauren and Lisa, because I was the only one to get her to calm down. We get to the hospital and they take Lauren down a long hall and me and Lisa go to the waiting room. After 30 minutes of waiting the doctor comes out. He walk over to us and Lauren is in a wheelchair wheeling behind him.

Lauren will be fine, she can go home. He says

What about her stab wound? Doesn’t she need to stay here? Asks Lisa

She wasn’t stabbed she was just cut. It wasn’t deep but for some reason her blood didn’t clot, we have no idea how that happened. We ran some tests and we will have you come back when the results come back. She also didn’t need stitches it will heal on its own and it should not leave a mark. He says

What about the blood from her mouth? I ask

She had it on her hand already, she didn’t know that at the time. He says

Ok I say.

you can leave now, please watch her closely, until we get the test results back he says

ok i will i say

i leave and go back to the waiting room to see Mariah and Lauren talking, lauren was out of the wheelchair and was sitting in a chair next to Mariah.
