Chapter 40 Im so sorry

Lauren's pov

I wake up and Lisa and Christina are looking at me.

Good morning I say

Good morning says Lisa

Morning Says Christina

We all go downstairs and make breakfast. After we get everything ready the rest of the family slowly make their way down.

Can I talk go you and Chrissy? I ask Lisa

Yeah let's go outside she says

Chrissy! Yells Lisa

What's up? She asks

We all go outside and sit on the chairs.

What's up lo lo bean? Asks Christina

The reason I cried and didn't get out of bed yesterday was because me and Mariah got In a fight last night. I say

Oh no! Says Christina

What was it about? Asks Lisa

Someone told her I didn't want to be her friend and that I hated her I say

That's so not true! Says Lisa

I know but now she won't talk to me! I don't know what to do! I say

Tears start pouring out of my eyes.

Lisa comes and hugs me.

Shhh it's going to be ok she says

It makes me sob even more.

After I stop crying we go back inside. I go straight up to the bathroom. I lock the door behind me. I find a razor. I hold it in my hands.

I start to think to myself if this is the right things. I mean I know it's not but I don't care anymore. I lost my best friend. I decide to shower. I strip my clothes off and step in the hot shower. I wash my body and hair. I stand in the hot water when it hits me. I get out of the shower and wrap the towel around me. I grab the razor and I make three cuts on both on my legs. It hurt at first but then it felt good. I cleaned then blood off and put a bandaid on them. I then cleaned the blade and held it in my hand. I Walked to my room and I changed into clothes and put the blade in my pocket. I do regret cutting but it made me feel better. I quickly dry my hair and then I grab one of my Cimorelli snapbacks and my skateboard. I go down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. Lisa Amy Kath Dani and Christina are in there. Mike must have taken the boys out.

I'm going to the skate park I say

Be safe says Lisa

I will I say

I walk out of the kitchen and I go out the front door. I ride to jakes house.

I knock on the door

Hey he says

Hey want to come to the skatepark with me? I ask

Yeah be there in 10 he says

Ok I Say

He goes and I ride to the skatepark. I ride past Mariah's house and she's taking with Blake

He waves and I wave back

Lauren look out! Yells Mariah

Before I can react this car hits me. I go flying off my board and I hit the ground. Blake and Mariah run over and the driver gets out

I didn't see her! He says

Call 911! Yells Blake

The driver pulls his phone out and calls an ambulance

Lauren I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have listened to Karen! She says

It's ok I say

I felt like passing out.

Lauren stay awake says Blake

Call Lisa I say

Everything goes black.

Mariah's pov

Lauren was riding my house. I'm really not mad at her and I regret fighting with her. Blake waves and she waves back. This car wasn't looking and goes straight to Lauren

Lauren look out! I yell

But it's to late the car hits her and Lauren goes flying. I'm pretty sure she broke something. We run over and the driver gets out.

I didn't see her coming! He said

I could smell the alcohol coming from his breath.

Lauren I'm sorry! I shouldn't have listened to Karen! I say

It's ok she says

I can see shes about to pass out

Lauren stay awake says Blake

Call Lisa she says

She then closes her eyes

I pull my phone out and call Lisa

Lisa- hey Mariah. What's up?

Me -Lauren got hit by a car! Come to my house quick!

Lisa- Were on our way!

She hangs up and I grab Lauren's hand.

We start to hear sirens in the background. Blake makes sure she is breathing. The paramedics come and so does Lisa. Lisa runs out and over to me. The police have the guy to a DUI check. He fails so they arrest him. They load Lauren in the ambulance and Lisa and I go with her. Christina takes the rest of the girls and Blake in the car.

What happened? asks the paramedic

She was riding a skateboard and and was waving at me and my boyfriend and then this car came speeding around the corner and I yelled for her to watch out but then it hit her I say

Lisa grabs my hand.

Did she say If anything hurt? He asks

No I say

I do want to inform you that the driver was driving under the influence. Even if your sister wasn't looking it was still his fault because she had the right of way. So he will be charged with man slaughter in the first degree. Says the paramedic.

Ok we say

Is anything broken? Asks Lisa

She has a concussion, some broken ribs and a possible broken wrist and a dislocated knee. He says

Ok she says

We get to the hospital and they take Lauren in and we go to the waiting room. Christina and everyone else comes and meets us. We all sit in silence and wait for news.
