Chapter 38 Brother sister moment

Mikes POV

After I beat the crap out of a kid I told them to leave

Get off of my property and don't come back or I will call the cops! I yell

They run off and Alex goes to Lauren's side. He picks her up out of the bush and sets her on the ground.

Are you ok!!? He asks

My side she says

She then passed out.

Lisa! Christina Amy I yell

They come running out

What- Christina stops talking

What happened! Asks Lisa going to laurens side.

Alex's pov

What happened!? Asks Lisa going to Lauren's side

We were walking home and we turned and saw amber and i told her to get off our property and then she was like no. I put lauren behind me to protect her and then Lauren told her to leave and amber said say it to my face. She went up to her and told her. Then two guys came out of no where and stood behind amber.

Amber said big mistake and punched Lauren. I went to go tackle her out I got tackled a guy and he started punching me. Lauren fought amber off and then yelled for Mike. He came out and tackled the other guy and Lauren gets attacked by Amber again. She gets pushed into a bush and Amber wouldn't stop. I got out of the guys grip and knocked him to the ground. I then went over to help Lauren. I picked her up out of the bush and I put her on the grass. I asked her if she was ok and she said my side and then she passed out I say

Can you or Mike carry her inside please she asks softly.

I pick her up and carry her to her room. She looked pale and lifeless. I put her on her bed and lisa and Christina shut the door. I go into the bathroom and I see my face. My eye was black and I had a bruise from being punched. I really don't care though. I hope Lauren is ok.

Lisa's pov

Christina and I are with Lauren. I pull her shirt up and her side is bleeding. It wasn't bad but it needed to be cleaned up.

Chrissy I say

Yeah she says softly

Can you go get hydrogen peroxide and a bandage I need to clean the cut I say

Yeah she says

She leaves and comes back and I clean her wound. Lauren doesn't move. I'm glad because it probably hurt. I lower her shirt and put a blanket on her.

Christina is quiet.

What's wrong? I ask

Christina looks at me and starts crying.

I go over and pull her Into a hug

She hugs me back.

After she pulls herself together we sit on my bed.

What's wrong? I ask again

I'm sad she says

Why? I ask

We can't even protect Lauren when she is with family! I'm tired of her getting hurt! She looks so broken! She says

She won't give up. I think we have drilled in her head that giving up is not the answer . She has 10 siblings to go to if she needs it. I say

I know I just don't know what to do. She can't be hurt her whole life. She needs to be confident and healthy. She says

We tried putting them in jail. Not everyone was arrested. I think that's the problem. If everyone was arrested we wouldn't have this problem. I say

Yeah she says

Laurens pov

I wake up to hearing voices. It was Christina and lisa. I'm on my bed and I feel a bandage on my side. It probably started bleeding again. I think about what happened. I listen to Christina and Lisa talk. After a while I realize they are talking about me.

We can't even protect Lauren when she is with family! I'm tired of her getting hurt! She looks so broken! Says Christina

She's Right I think to myself

She won't give up. I think we drilled into her head that giving up isn't the answer. She has 10 other siblings she can go to for help. Says Lisa

She is also right.

I know she can't be hurt her whole life! I just want her to be confident and healthy again. Says Christina

We tried putting them in jail. Not all of them got arrested. I think that's the problem. We need to get all of them arrested so then she will be safe says Lisa

Yeah says Christina

The talk about something else. My side started hurting more.

I groaned

They stopped talking and came over to me.

You ok lo? She asks

Yeah my side just hurts I say

Ok I will let you rest she says

Her and Christina go and walk out of the room. I slowly get up and walk out of the room. I see Alex walking out of his room.

We made eye contact and he ran to me and hugged me. We hugged for a while and then we went downstairs with everyone else. We ended up watching turbo. Alex was on one side and Lisa was on the other. I fell asleep on Lisa. She put her arm around me and kissed my head.

I love you lo she says

I love you too I say

I then fall asleep.

I hope you like this chapter. Taylor started it and I finished it. Taylor is doing better. She has just been resting and taking her medicine. It gave me a reason to skip school to take care of her. Which is nice. Taylor says hi and told me to tell you guys to have a good day
