the next day,
i came back.
you were sitting in the same spot,
immersing yourself in the lives of all the children.
getting lost inside your own world.
you didn't notice when I sat next to you,
your eyes just darted back and forth,
between the small children
swinging,
pretending to fly.
i watched you in adoration,
envying your ability to lose yourself in something so small.
watching you,
caused so many questions to flow into my mind,
questions about you,
wanting to know you.
so i started asking them.
"what's your name?
what's your story?
what's your favorite color?
book?
song?"
i kept rattling off questions,
until you began to laugh.
tears had formed in the corner of your eyes,
glistening in the sun.
Your laugh was the most melodious sound that i had ever heard,
it captured your mirth perfectly,
And enthralled me completely.
you began to reply to each one,
at a slow pace.
"jimin,"
pause.
"that's a really long story, kid."
pause.
"white like the clouds,"
pause.
"Who says i only enjoy one book,"
pause.
"wonderless.
and that's the last question I even remember."
i stared at you,
hanging on each syllable that left you're beautifully parted lips.
each answer embedding itself in my memory.
"what about you?" you asked
tilting your head slightly.
"same questions.
ready, set, go!"
"yoongi."
"let's save that for later."
"black. "
"you're not the only one who can be ambiguous, so let's say i have many favorites."
"Same goes for the songs."
I answered your questions in a blur.
not pausing to overthink an answer.
you laughed and nodded.
it seemed like you were absorbing every detail.
we didn't talk anymore that day.
we just sat in each other's presence.
savoring the sweet company,
of each other.
I already knew,
that we were meant to meet,
and every minute I spent with you seemed to fly by.
without you,
time seemed to drag on.
