it was a book about choices

and how deeply they impacted others.

it also highlighted that

although you are not the only one going through whatever troubles you,

and that so many people go through much worse,

your problems still mattered no matter what people told you.

the book reminded me of you,

about how you were stuck in between

staying and leaving.

that you didn't know if you could make it through the night anymore.

about how you think of things

that a seventeen year old should never think of.

but these kinds of thoughts constantly run through your mind.

and every negative thought that passes through your pretty mind,

kills me.

because you reminded me of that book, yes

but ultimately you remind me of

me.

so I decided to leave you a note

instead of sitting with you in silence for hours upon hours.

because this book has made one thing clear.

so I wrote one simple sentence on a small scrap of paper.

"i know why you watch the children."

i expected you to come find me,

but you didn't.

you had always been strong willed,

playing things out how you wanted them.

and that's exactly what you did.

you left me a note instead.

it read,

"it's much more complicated than that, Yoongi."
