"Thought I could keep it all inside, but I got a little drunk last night."
"I'll see you later, Simon." Alex cleaned up her work station. "You sure you don't need my help?"
He shook his head. "Go on now. I'll see you tomorrow."
"See you buddy."
"Bye Alex."
Alex headed back to her room, jumping on to her bed and laying down with her PADD to see if she had any emails or other notifications. But before she could, her communicator beeped.
"Hey, Alex, do you want to come over to my room for a little while? I'm bored and your brother is out."
Bones.
She looked up from her communicator to her PADD, and to her cabinet in her nightstand. "I'll be there in a few minutes."
Alex changed out of her doctor's scrubs, and into a plain tank top and a comfortable pair of shorts before grabbing one of the half empty bottles of the illegal Romulan Ale Christine had somehow gotten her hands on.
She took off for his room, making sure that Christine or Jim were not in her sight. Christine was gone for the weekend, but she never said when she was getting back. Jim on the other hand, who knows where he could have been.
Alex reached Bones' room, and keyed in the code, the door slowly sliding open to reveal Bones sitting on his bed, keying something in to his own PADD in a plain t-shirt and flannel pants.
"You know, there's this thing called knocking." He said, not looking up.
The door shut behind her and she hopped onto his bed with him, sitting cross legged on the end of the bed. "Jim told me the code to get in here. You want some of this?"
Bones set the tablet down and inspected the bottle of alcohol that Alex held up to him. He took it, taking a swig. His eyes widened and he choked his sip down his throat.
"What the hell is this?" He exclaimed, shoving the bottle back to a laughing Alex.
"It's Romulan Ale. I thought you'd enjoy something a little strong." She gulped her own sip down. "You've got to throw it down, or else it stings."
"How the hell did you manage to get that?" He asked. "That stuff is illegal."
Alex shrugged. "Ask Christine. We have two more bottles of this in our room."
