Based on R5's song: Do It Again
*****
It's Friday night and you are getting ready for your first date with Ross. You are a college girl in your first year, and you met Ross at a party that was held at your friends boyfriend's beach house. Apparently her boyfriend was friends with Ross ever since they met, which was surfing in San Diego and they kept in touch ever since. Anyways, your friend and her boyfriend was introducing you to some people, and Ross was of them. You noticed he was rather cute, had an amazing smile, and was very polite and sweet. You also loved his taste in music, which is what started the conversation that night. You guys talked of random things, just getting to know each other and it led to you developing a simple crush.
Luckily, Ross felt the same little spark as well. Before the party was over in a flash, he asked for your number. You were sort of surprise he talked to only you that entire night and didn't bother to party, since you always thought you weren't exciting enough for any guy to be interested. Besides, you're super awkward and shy when it comes to guys. But with Ross, you didn't feel like you had to pretend to be someone you weren't. You liked that. And a few days later, he asked you out on a date.
He texted you yesterday:
Ross: Hey Y/N, r u doing anything tomorrow nite?
You: I don't think so :]
Ross: Great. Would u like 2 go out with me tomorrow? I typically don't like asking over text, but I don't know where u live... :/
You: I don't mind. Sounds fun!
Ross: Sweet! I'll pick u up @ 8pm?
You: Sure. Should I dress casual or...?
You were slightly new at this dating thing, only having gone on a few dates before in your nineteen years of life. Everything was very experimental for you, and you hoped Ross wasn't too experienced.Ross: oh yeah, casual. Nowhere fancy. I would wear something comfortable on ur feet too.
You: Okay, see ya then! And it was official. Now you are racing around your dorm, luckily your roommate was off partying with some guy. You had just gotten out of the shower, your skin glistening with a sheer layer of water from the shower. You had a towel wrapped around your body, and Ross would be here in a half hour. You had already sent him the address, but you had to find something to wear.
He said causal and comfy, so you didn't want to dress up too much, but you also wanted to look somewhat attractive, right?
You rummaged through your drawers in search of an outfit, having no luck. So you tiptoed your roommate's side, browsing through her wardrobe. She had borrowed from you a numerous amount of times without asking, so she owed you at least this once. You finally found something that caught your eye. A pair a short ripped jean shorts, an off-the-shoulder top, and your white Adidas to match. You quickly change into the clothes, viewing your reflection the mirror. You were satisfied with it, so after blow-drying your hair and straightening it, you begin applying makeup. A natural glow was your best option, so you applied mascara to pump up your eyelashes, a medium toned eyeshadow, a light layer of eyeliner, and concealer to hide your imperfections.
There was a faint knock on the door, signaling Ross was here. You felt a nervous feeling explode in your stomach, but you took deep breaths to sustain that queasy feeling. You grab your purse, your phone, and opened the door to greet Ross.
