Opia (Ichigo x reader)

Hueco Mundo

For a few hours you, Renji and Rukia have been quietly lurking around in the Seireitei. Preparing to go to the Hueco Mundo.
"Do we even know how to get there?" You ask as you three are in Renji's barracks preparing him to be ready.
"Do you really not have the much faith in us to know how to get there?" Renji says with a half smile trying not to laugh.
"Well no one ever told me how so I was just wondering." You say with a little giggle in your voice to your defense.
Rukia is pacing in the back. She's been ready to hit the road for a few hours now. Renji and you just wanted to make sure you were fully ready. But a little more to Rukia's liking.
"Come on guysss. (Y/N) aren't you wanting to get to Ichigo as soon as possible as well?" She says.
"Yes I do. But I've stressed about this too much already. Let's have faith in Ichigo. We both now he probably is doing just fine."

-----Meanwhile in the Hueco Mundo-----

"There's something coming." Uryu says.
The ground begins to rumble and a huge hollow emerges from the sand. Looks like he's made of sand himself. Ichigo looking up at it, dumbfounded says, "what's that?"
"It's Runuganga, the guardian of the White Sand!" The sand hollow says. "I was just informed only moments ago by Las Noches that we had intruders. I never thought those intruders were associated with trash pests like you. Unforgivable, I'm going to turn you all into desert sand!"
"No... no it's not like that!" Nel begins to say nervously.
"Stand aside." Ichigo says interrupting her. "It seems we can't play around with him. Let's go monster! Getsugatensho!" He releases a huge hit to the hollow. Splitting him in half. He swung his sword to rest on his shoulder in victory.
"Kurosaki!"
"He's coming!"
Then the hollow, Runuganga, starts to form back into one whole piece. Ichigo's Getsugatensho has no effect on him.
"Intruder... I really cannot forgive you."

----- Soul Society -----

"Yeah I think you're right. I'm sure he's just fine." Rukia says. "But I would still like to get a move on please."
"Okay okay Rukia. Let's get going huh?" Renji says. We run as fast as we can to a secluded area. Rukia then begins to summon a gate to the human world.
"We're going to the human world?" You ask.
"No one could ever go on a huge mission without the help of Kisuke Urahara." Rukia says with a smile.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" You ask.
"We knew you'd be to excited to see Kisuke again. So we waited for it to be a surprise. Hah, did you really think we'd know how to get to the Hueco Mundo?" Renji says with a smile and a wink stepping through the gate. You follow excitedly. You're going to be reunited with your favorite people soon.
You stand in front of the gate on the other side as it opens up to the front of Urahara's shop. With him waiting there for you. As soon as you could fit through, you rush through and jump into his arms in a tight hug.
"You're back! I know not for soon but you're back." Kisuke says.
"Yo Urahara!" Renji says walking past your hug into the shop. Rukia follows with a smile and wave. After your hug, you and Kisuke follow into the shop together.
It's a nice but quick reunion. You can all feel the war coming soon though nothing is really said about it. You all just know. You all walk down into the hidden training ground. You can feel Kisuke's had drastically changed within moments. He doesn't want you to go but he knows the effort of trying to make you stay is useless. You can also hint a littler anger towards Rukia and Renji for letting you come with them instead of forcing you to  stay in the soul society. This makes you a little sad but happy. He cares about you. Tessai, Ururu, and Jinta were all waiting for you already in the training room. Everyone hugged you extra tight because this is it. Just a few more days till the war. The winter war.
Kisuke walked up on this long wooden platform. You, Renji and Rukia all stand next to each other. Looking ready for battle. Looking ready for anything really thrown your way.
"In my right hand, the stone that connects the worlds. In my left hand, the blade that binds existence." His hand holding this cane starts to glow a bright blue. "The black-haired shepherd. The chair of the noose. I strike the ibis when the clouds gather." Kisuke concludes with a giant beam of blue light shoots across and hits another extended platform across from him. Then it opens a hole to the Hueco Mundo in the blink of an eye. You stand once again in awe of the power and wisdom that is Kisuke Urahara.
"This hole that the Arrancars come and go through it is called a Garganta. Inside there is no path but there are wild reishi currents swirling around. Move through it by making footing out of reishi. If you move towards the darkness, you should reach the Hueco Mundo." Kisuke explaines.
You start to walk blindly in, it's the path to your Ichigo.
"Not so fast." Kisuke says grabbing your shirt. "You probably don't even know how to control your reishi enough to even walk past. You can't just go in like that."
You jerk away from him and he lets you go. You walk out confidently into the void, the light blue path starts to form in front of you and you run forward. As you run you look back and say, "I'm sorry Kisuke but I don't have time for you to doubt me."
"You're one of a kind (Y/N)." He says with a smile in his face, you smile back. Renji and Rukia follow after you with smirks in their faces as well.
"Good luck! I'll see you all soon." You hear Kisuke yell from a distance. You guys are going fast. There really is no time to waste. The war is nearing.

——— Hueco Mundo ———

"What's it's weakness?? If you don't tell me you'll get killed too!" Ichigo says to little hollow Nel.
"Water!" She yells.
"Water? Where are we going to find water in the middle of a huge desert?" Uryu says distressed.
"That's why the Runuganga is invincible!" Nel yells over the pouring sand about to devour them.
"I'm going to swallow you all!" This gaint sand hollow says opening his terrifying mouth and getting closer and closer.
"Crap!" Ichigo mutters. Almost losing hope.
Then two shots of ice strike the Runuganga, completely freezing it. Then it begins to shatter.
"Kasai Kōri." A smooth beam of flame shoots out and creates water upon contact.
Ichigo knows those spiritual pressures. He immediately turns around and is surprised to see you three. Especially you, he thought he'd never see you again. So did you for a while. It was only a few days but it seems like an eternity. Ichigo helped the others out of the massive sand pit and came straight to you and hugged you.
"What the hell are you doing here?" He said in your ear.
"Don't doubt me anymore. I'm strong." You whisper back. He holds you tighter.
"I want to protect you. You are my love and I want to protect you most." He says.
"And sometimes Ichigo, you'll need protecting too. And I'll always be there." You whisper even quieter. "Besides, I bet I could totally kick your ass." You laugh and bite his ear. He abruptly stops your hug, embarrassed you did that in front of everyone. But then he saw your face and couldn't stay mad and did something even more embarrassing. He kisses you.
"Ewwwwwww" Nel yells.
Rukia calmly walks up and breaks you two apart. She looks up at him and says, "I'll say what (Y/N) should be saying. What did you go to the Hueco Mundo by yourself?!"
"That's because I didn't know if you guys were coming back..."
"We'd come back! No matter what!!!" She yells in his face. It's nice seeing them do this again. Even though it I was always a little stressful.
"Renji and I were planning on doing it from the beginning. And of course we'd being (Y/N). Why didn't you wait for us? Why couldn't you trust us? We're your friends, right Ichigo?" Rukia asks. Ichigo looks at her surprised and you look at her with admiration.
"Yeah... you're right." Ichigo says quietly.
"As long as you understand... don't make me confirm something this silly ever again!" She says with her back now to him. Ichigo smiles and snickers. He stands by you, putting his arm around you. It's good smelling his scent again.
"That's aside, who are they?" Rukia asks.
"Who are we? H-how rude!" Nel, the little blue haired hollow yells.
"I'm Nel Tu!"
"Dondochakka!"
"Pesche Gatiche!"
"United, we're...
- The Neldonpe Phantom Thieves!
- The Great Desert Brothers!
- The Three Super Powered Siblings of the Burning Sands!" They all say at the same time, hilariously saying three different group names.
"You weren't in unison..." Ichigo says quietly.
"We talked about this!" Nel yells.
How cute is that, you think to yourself. Even though most would find them all annoying and you're in one of the most dangerous places in existence, next to hell, you can't help but he happy. To be with Ichigo again when just a few days ago it seemed hopeless to ever see him again to be here today, about to fight proudly next to him and your friends. To save Orihime. To save the world.
