Teddy PoV.
It was a couple of days later, and I was aloud to actually get up from the couch, since I wasn't sick anymore, to which I was thankful for because I was bored out of my bloody mind sitting on the couch doing nothing, (though the Panettone was to die for, so it was so fucking worth it).
Ro was running down the stairs, full of energy as she did every morning, because she was a kid, she then grabbed her school shoes and walked to me.
"Daddy, can you help me put on my school shoes pretty please?"
"Of course Sweetheart"So I put on said school shoes on Ro's feet, because Dad powers and shit, or so I told Ro, as sometimes you gotta bring magic to stuff that's ordinary and mundane for a child, you know.
"Thank you Daddy"
"You're welcome Baby"
"How do you do it?"
"I have Daddy powers Sweetheart"
"Like Superman?"
"Yeah Baby, like Superman"
"Cool"Ro and I then left the house to get her to school, because otherwise we would've been late, which is definitely not a habit that you should teach your young child, or any person that you find yourself in charge of, because that will affect their being on time skills later on in life (and I wasn't about that life, ya know).
We got on the train, like we always did, but I wasn't expecting Ro to ask me a load of questions that I wasn't necessarily ready for, because the last time I talked about her Mum was when Ro asked what a Mum was and that didn't go well.
"Daddy"
"Yes Baby"
"Can I ask you something?"
"Yes Darling, you can ask me anything"
"What was my Mummy like?"
"Uh, well Sweetheart she was posh"
"What's posh?"
"Uh, kinda like the Queen"
"So is she part of the royal family?"
"No Baby, she's not part of the royal family"Ro looked at me really, really, really confused, which I honestly don't blame her for, because I say shit before I have thought about it, which is pretty fucking stupid but you know, shit happens sometimes you know.
"But how is she posh like the Queen then Daddy?"
"Well it's because she has the same accent as the Queen Darling"
"What's an accent Daddy?"I kinda threw myself into the deep end of shit by saying that Megan was posh like the bloody Queen, but I honestly couldn't think of another way to word it, because wording to this day is not a strong suit of mine.
"It's kind of like how you say things Baby girl"
"But Daddy, how is it only kind of like how you say things?"
"Well Sweetheart, that's because it also depends on where you live and where you come from as to what your accent sounds like, you know like how Nana has an Italian accent and we have an East end accent-" (The East end accent or the cockney accent is one of 4 London accents, for anybody that doesn't know that)
"What's Italian?"
"Italian is a person that comes from Italy"
"What's Italy?"
"Italy is a country Sweetheart, it is also where Nana grew up"
"Ooh, so is that where Nana got the other language from Daddy?"
"(Chuckles), yeah Tesoro, Italy is where Nana got the other language from"
"That's cool Daddy"
"You think so Bambina?"
"Yeah"
"That's good"Ro seemed to be happy with the answers she got from me, or at least, she was happy with the answers she got for now, though we were also very close to the stop that was by her school, so maybe that had a little bit to do with that as well.
We got to the School gates a couple of minutes before they were opened, so because I didn't know what else to do, I lifted Ro into my arms.
"Daddy"
"Yes Sweetheart?"
"Who's picking me up from school today?"
"Nana is going to pick you up today because I got to go to work Baby girl"
"Daddy when will you be back from work today?"
"You will be in bed asleep when I get home Rowan Sweetheart"
"Ok Daddy"Not long after the conversation had ended the school gates were opened and so I put Ro back down and knelt down in front of her, since the height difference was a hell of a lot.
"I love you Baby"
"I love you too Daddy"
"(Kisses forehead), now you go and learn some stuff, ok?"
"Ok, Bye Daddy!"
"Bye Baby"I chuckled to myself at the innocence of Ro's excitement for school as she ran towards where her classroom was, then I went back home and started to get ready for work, as I started work at midday.
