The following day was fine, it wasn't brilliant but it was fine, I was just emotionally drained from Meg the day before.

Maybe I was crazy but I preferred parenting on my own, so that I didn't have to think about the other parent's morals, I know that it's a weird reason, but until the point that Meg turned up, I was parenting on my own, (and honestly after Meg turned up).

"Daddy, are you ok?"
"Yeah Baby, I'm ok"
"You don't look ok, Daddy you look sad"

Then there was knocking on the door, and we weren't expecting anybody at the time, so Ro was really annoyed about that, though I can't really blame her because she was only 5.

"Silly person behind the door, don't they have manners?, can they just go away?"

Do you know how hard it is to try and not laugh, it's really bloody hard I tell you, I tried not to laugh because it would annoy Ro more.

"Uh, how about you go play with your Barbies and if it's somebody important that you need to see then I'll tell you"
"Daddy, don't be silly, the only person that I would need to see is Nana and she only comes on Wednesday's and Saturday's, today is Friday, I think, so nobody that I need to see is coming today"

Then she just casually walks into the lounge like nothing happened, so then I went to the door and opened it.

"Hello Theodore"
"Mrs Grant, Meg, what can I do for you today?"
"That's not a way to greet your guest"
"Mum!"
"If we're getting into technicalities here Mrs Grant, you're not a guest of mine until you're invited inside my home, now can you please tell me what you are here for?"
"I want to meet my granddaughter"
"I don't think she's in the mood for visitors today Mrs Grant"
"You're just saying that"
"I promise you that I'm not making it up, because I know my daughter better than you do"
"Theodore, I haven't met her-"
"That's not my fault, you're the one that didn't want anything to do with her"
"I'm not that person anymore-"
"Ok so now I know where you get your persuasion skills from Meg"
"Teddy-"
"Also the fact that you couldn't take no for a bloody answer and got Mummy dearest to fight your battles for you is very fucking telling"
"I see that you still have the swearing problem"
"(Snorts), of course you have to nitpick at something that is apart of most adult vocabularies Mrs Grant"
"Do you really think that it's appropriate to use that sort of language around a 4 year old-"
"5 year old, she was 5 yesterday, so if you're going to lecture me about how I raise my child, at least get her age right"

Mrs Grant then tried to barge into my home, and I honestly nearly lost my shit.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!"
"Mum!"
"What, was that not a sign to come in?"
"Definitely not, no, are you fucking crazy?!"
"No, I just want to meet my granddaughter"
"Don't fucking come in, stay there, I'll get her on the condition that neither of you come to my flat again"
"Ok"

So I go to Ro, the only reason why I did it was to stop my ex mother in law from barging into my flat, looking back I probably should've called the police but I didn't have hindsight to help me out.

"Ro, there's somebody here who wants to meet you"
"Why?"
"I honestly don't know Baby"
"Do you like who wants to meet me?"
"I can't answer that either Darling"
"I'll go see them but only so they'll go away"

So Ro went to the door, in a manner that only a child could get away with, honestly I wish that I could actually get away with doing this to people.

"Hello Rowan"
"Who are you?"
"I'm your grandmother"
"And who are you?"
"I'm your mum"
"What's your name?"
"My name's Megan"
"And why are you here?"
"Because we wanted to meet you Rowan"
"I want doesn't get, didn't your Daddy teach you that Megan?"

They were both speechless, I was a little shocked, however, this did prove that she inherited the Addams tongue and sass.

"Now that you have met me, you can go away now, bye!"

Ro then slammed the door in their faces, and then she casually walks to the couch with a Barbie doll in her hand.

"Daddy"
"Yeah Baby"
"You never said that posh accents can sound so annoying"
"(Laughs)"
"Daddy, please don't tell Uncle Jack I said that, I don't want to hurt his feelings"
"Your secret's safe with me Baby"
"Pinky promise Daddy?"
"Yeah I pinky promise Sweetheart"
