Teddy PoV

Dad came down from Cardiff in Wales so he could help sort Nana's stuff, and he visited us, for some strange reason, I say strange because of how we left off last time we saw each other.

"Oi Teddy!"
"What is it Georgie boy?!"
"Somebody's at the door!"
"Ok Georgie boy!, I'm coming"

So I opened the front door, 'cause you know, flat owner expectations and shit, and Dad was there for some unknown reason, my blood started to boil, well I say started to boil, what I meant to say was that my blood went straight to fucking boiling point, because I remembered how Georgie was the last time he barged through our door.

"Hi- oh shit"
"I can't just drop by without supposition?"
"This is you we're talking about, I mean you are the fucker that kicked Georgie out because of his sexuality"
"Wait, George still lives here?"
"Yes Dad, no shit, of course Georgie still lives here, what kind of dickhead do you think I am?, I'm not going to kick out my little brother because unlike some people, I'm not actually a fucking homophobic dickhead"
"He chose to be gay-"
"Nobody choses to be gay you uneducated fuck, anyway you're a shit parent-"
"What the fuck do you mean by that Theodore?"
"Ok, I'm going to ask you a question, and you're going to answer me honestly, if you even remember how to be fucking honest, what are parents supposed to do?"
"They're supposed to love their kids unconditionally"
"Wow, you actually have a brain inside that noggin-"
"Get to the point Theodore"
"Ok then, guess what you're not doing for Georgie-"
"Teddy, you know this is not why I'm here-"
"Do I now?"

Ro then walks into the lounge half asleep, normally she would be long up by this point but she didn't go back to sleep until 2 in the morning because we were looking at the photo box after she had a nightmare.

"Morning Daddy"
"Morning Darling"
"Who's that?"
"Well Rowan Sweetheart, this is your Grandad"
"Have I met him before?"
"You have met him before Bambina, but you wouldn't remember him because you were only a little baby"
"Oh ok, is he your Daddy?"
"Yeah he is Baby"
"Oh, ok, uh, hi there Mister"
"Hi"
"What's the time Daddy?"
"It's about 10 O'clock Sweetheart"
"Ok"

Ro then went and watched some morning cartoons on Cartoon Network, because that's what she does regardless of what time she wakes up.

"She's adorable"
"Yeah she is, Nana's death really hit her hard"
"I've just seen Mollie, she doesn't seem too upset"
"Yeah but Mollie never went to visit Nana, because as you will remember, Mum and Nana didn't ever see eye to eye, I don't even think Mollie even remembers Nana to be perfectly honest with you"
"Yeah she probably doesn't"
"Has the funeral been sorted out yet?"
"No, not yet, I do have to get the death certificate sorted first, actually I have an appointment for that in like 15 minutes so I'll go now"
"You go do that and let us know the date then"

So he finally left, and I shut the bloody front door, because I didn't want anybody else coming in at this point.

"Daddy"
"Yes Miele"
"What's for breakfast?"
"I don't know Baby, what do you want for breakfast?"
"I don't know"
"Ok, well do you want some pancakes?"
"No"
"No?, ok, do you want some eggy bread?"
"Yes please Daddy"
"Ok Baby, (kisses cheek), I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything Sweetheart, ok?"
"Ok Daddy"

So I went to the kitchenette and made some eggy bread for Ro, and then after that I made myself a cup of tea, because I needed it after that.

The day seemed to drag on, probably because we were all still in mourning for Nana.

I was sat on the old armchair that we had, the only thing that I seemed to be able to do that day was drink tea, Ro sat on my lap, I then pulled her into a hug.

"Daddy"
"Yeah Baby"
"Why do people die?"
"Well Buba, if people didn't die, we wouldn't learn to appreciate the people that we love"
"It hurts though"
"I know it does Baby, I know"
"Does it ever go away Daddy?"
"I wish that I could tell you that it does go away Sweetheart, I really do, but it doesn't ever really go away, you just learn how to live with it"

It was quiet after that, Ro fell asleep in my arms, so I let silent tears fall down my face, my throat burned from trying not to cry out, as I didn't want to wake Ro up with my crying.

Miele is Italian for Honey.
