Birthday surprise (Twenty-six)

Teddy PoV

Five days after Ro met Megan through sheer force was my birthday, I wasn't really fussed about it, it was the first year that I wasn't really with family other than Ro, and honestly it was turning out to be one of the better birthdays of my teenage years, (that did kinda go to shit not long after)

"Happy Birthday Daddy"
"Thank you Baby"

Then there was a knock on the door, so I went and answered it, when I answered it, Georgie was there and he looked like he had been crying.

"Teddy, I have no where to stay"
"Hey, Georgie, Sweetie, what happened?"
"Well, you know I was supposed to be living with Mum but she's too busy model coddling Mollie to know or care about what the fuck I was doing, so she shipped me to Dad's so I could 'have a better relationship with him', but Dad is too busy working on how to avoid us and he kicked me out yesterday because he found out that I was gay, so I used my Oyster card and I came here, I'm so sorry that I ruined your birthday Teddy"

Georgie then started to cry, so I pulled him into a hug, hugging crying people was my speciality apparently, (or I learnt from my Aunt Rebecca because she's a naturally a hug giver).

"Hey, come here, you didn't ruin my birthday Georgie boy, also you can stay here for as long as you want to, I'm sure that Ro would love to have you here"

Just as I finished what I was saying, Ro came to the door, a couple of Barbie dolls in her hands.

"Daddy, why is Uncle Georgie crying?"
"It's complicated Princess"
"How long is Uncle Georgie visiting for?"
"He's going to be living with us for a while"
"Will Uncle Georgie be ok Daddy?"
"Yeah, he'll be ok Sweetheart"
"Ok"

Ro went back to playing with her barbies, as any 5 year old would and we closed the front door, because I didn't want the nosey neighbours to watch.

"How did Dad find out Georgie?"
"Well I may have slept with a guy and the guy told Dad"
"Woah woah woah, what kind of arse were you seeing Georgie, was it serious with this guy?"
"No, not entirely, he wanted it to be serious but I told him that I wasn't ready for a serious relationship because I'm only 14 and I don't want to be tied down at this point in time but then he got mad and ran to tell Dad that I'm gay, because he knew I wasn't out of the closet yet"

My blood was boiling at this point, I was mad at Dad because he's a git that disowned his son for something he can't help, I was also mad at whoever Georgie was seeing, because he had a big mouth on him, so I decided to try and distract myself.

"Georgie, do you want me to you a cuppa?"
"It's your birthday Teddy-"
"I know when my birthday is Georgie, that doesn't matter right now-"
"Yes it does-"
"No, Georgie, it doesn't, because you have just finished what sounds like a fucking horrific 24 hours, my birthday is just another way of saying that I'm getting older, so, do you want me to make you a cuppa?"
"That would be nice thank you"
"One cuppa coming right up"

I went to the kitchenette, put the kettle on and eventually made a cup of tea for both Georgie and I.

"Here we go Kiddiwink, one cup of tea"
"Thank you"
"You don't have to thank me, you're my little brother-"
"You know that I'm taller than y-"
"That doesn't stop you from being my little brother, because I will always remember you as 5 years old and poking everybody's face"
"That's not fair Teddy, I was only a tot-"
"You were slightly more than a tot at that point in time Georgie but ok"

Georgie pouted after I said that, I dunno why but I wasn't going to say anything 'cause I knew that it was in banter, which he needed after the 24 hours he just had.

"So which couch am I taking?"
"Georgie you're not going to be sleeping on the couch, I have a spare room, I mean it might be a shit tip 'cause I haven't gotten around to sorting everything into a place yet but you'll have a room which has a bed"
"Oh, I didn't know-"
"Don't worry about it kiddo, I didn't know about it until after I moved in"
"Isn't that a bit dodgy?"
"I mean yeah, but it's not a bad thing, it would've been way worse if there was only 1 bedroom in the flat"
"That's true"
