Teddy PoV

It was 10 O'clock in the morning, Georgie was home because he also had the stomach bug, Ro was still asleep, Mikey was back to school that day because he was 48 hours clear of it, and so I was just drinking some tea and sitting on the couch, because I felt like I had a cold coming on.

"Hey Teddy, what's wrong?"
"Look don't worry about it Georgie, it's nothing for you to worry about, alright"
"Teddy, you of all people should know that saying 'don't worry about it' will make anyone with half a brain worry more"
"Hey! you're using my advice against me!, you little shit!"
"No I'm not, it's just that you're the one that needs to open up, now speak up Daddyo"
"Jesus Christ, fine, ok, I'll spill, (sighs), I'm worried about Ro, I know I know I know, I'm always so bloody worried about fucking everything-"
"That just means you care Dad, continue"
"She was so scared that she thought I left her like Megan did last night Georgie, fucking hell how the fuck does Megan do this without any fucking remorse"
"Because she's not picking up the pieces Teddy"
"I can't let her keep doing this to my little girl, God I'm such a fucking arse for even letting that bitch in her life"

I was at an all time low, trying not to feel so sorry for myself but ultimately I failed, because I felt like shit, Georgie wasn't fucking having any of it though, because again, fuck me having feelings.

"You say that like you had a fucking choice-"
"What do you mean Georgie?"
"What I mean is that if you told the story correctly, which I don't doubt that you did Teddy, because you fucking hate liars, Ro only met Megan because Megan's Mum doesn't have any fucking manners"
"(Sniffles and then laughs), well, yeah Georgie but-"
"Teddy, no buts, now I want you to listen to me here about something"
"Ok Georgie boy, the centre stage is yours"
"Thanks, now I know that you like to think of yourself as a hard man, but I have never seen a hard man feel like shit about their daughters having shitty Mums"
"(Snorts), me?, a hard man?, you must be shitting me Georgie boy"
"No?..."
"(Chuckles), Georgie, you're unique, ya know that, right"

Before Georgie could reply sassily, Ro walked in slowly, looking really sickly, which worried me an awful lot.

"Hey Buba, are you feeling ok?"
"No, I got sick again Daddy"
"Come here Baby girl"

Ro then sat on my lap, rested her head on my shoulder, and looked up at me.

"Daddy"
"(Sniffles), yes Darling?"
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah Baby, I'm ok, (sniffles), do I not look ok?"
"You look sad Daddy"
"I'm not sad Baby, (kisses forehead), I'm just a little under the weather is all"
"Is that another way to say that you're feeling sick Daddy?"
"Yes Sweetheart, it is another way to say that I'm sick"
"Did I make you sick?, I'm sorry Daddy-"
"No no Baby, (sniffles), no you didn't make me sick Miele, (sniffles), I got a cold, (sniffles), you got the stomach bug"
"So they're not the same type of sick?"
"No Bambina, (sniffles), they're not the same type of sick"
"And you're sure that I didn't give it to you?"
"Of course I'm sure Buba"
"You need a tissue Daddy"
"Thank you Sweetheart"

It went quiet after that, eventually Ro went back to sleep and I sat there and held her to try and comfort myself, since Georgie was also sleeping on the couch.

At some point in the day I got up with Ro in my arms to make myself a cup of tea, since I didn't want to wake her up, Ro then woke up while I was waiting for the kettle to boil.

"Daddy"
"Yeah Baby"
"I'm hungry"
"Ok, (sniffles), I'll get you a glass of water and we'll see if you can hold that down, ok"
"Ok"

So I got Ro's glass of water, made my tea and then I brought them back to where we were sitting and sat back down on the couch.

"Small sips now Buba, ok"
"Ok Daddy"

Georgie then started to wake up, though at first he looked like he was still in a sleep like state, since his eyes were still kinda a little bit puffy from sleeping.

"Teddy"
"Yeah Georgie"
"Can I eat yet?"
"Get yourself a glass of water and see if you can hold it down"
"Teddy-"
"I told Ro the same thing Georgie boy"
"But that sounds like a lot of work"
"So is dealing with your whining Kiddo"
"That's rude"
"(Snorts), I'm joking Kiddo, well not about the water thing"
"I know that Teddy, I know"
