The rest of the day was quiet, probably because none of us were expecting him to come 'round.

It was late in the evening, Ro was getting into her pjs, and I went to see how Georgie was, because Georgie hadn't been out of his room since Dad came 'round that morning, which worried me a lot but I also didn't want to push him too much before then, since that could've made it worse, and I found Georgie crying into his pillow.

"Hey Georgie, do you want to try and eat something?"
"No, I want the floor to swallow me whole"
"Georgie-"
"Nana's dead, then he tried to come back here like nothing happened even though he made me feel so bloody worthless, (sobs), why doesn't he love me Teddy?"
"I, I, I don't know Georgie, I really don't know, come here"

Georgie just cried harder as I wrapped my arms around him, I didn't even see Ro come in.

"Daddy, is Uncle Georgie going to be ok?"
"Yeah, he'll be ok Sweetheart, if you go brush your teeth, I'll be in to you in a little bit Baby girl, ok"
"Ok Daddy"
"Good girl"

So Ro went to brush her teeth, Georgie was in the process of stopping his crying, I passed him the box of tissues that were on his bedside table.

"I still mean what I said the night Katie died"
"What did you say that night kiddiwink?"
"That you were more of a Dad to Katie and I than he ever was, and then you told me that it was probably true and that he was a fucking dick"
"(Chuckles), Oh yeah, I remember now, that is even more true now we know his true colours"
"I'm sorry"
"Woah, what the hell are you even sorry for Georgie?"
"That I intruded your life"
"Who the fuck told you that fucking bullshit?"
"Mum told me that, she's probably right you know"

I was fucking shocked that our Mum had actually said that to Georgie, I knew that she could be a Bitch from time to time, because I have lived with her, but she was never that toxic.

"No Georgie, she's fucking wrong, you bloody goose, she probably just feels bloody guilty about the fact that I fucking half reared you while she was out doing fuck knows what with a man that never fucking loved her"
"This might be a strange question, but why was it you that half raised me and not Violet or Rueben?"
"Violet could've kept you alive and all that jazz but she wasn't the motherly type, probably because of our parents and I don't blame her if that's the case, because that's fucked us all up, and Violet also moved to the Chelsea side of London as soon as she had her GCSE results, because she got that florist internship, Rueben got sent to Essex when Mum sent us all to foster care and he never wanted to come back"
"I don't blame them for that"
"Me neither Georgie, so do you wanna try and eat something Georgie?"
"Yeah yeah ok ok, I will eat something, you go see Ro"
"There's some soup on the hob if you wanna heat that up"
"Has anybody told you that you're the best"
"They have told me that but it's nice to hear that every now and again"

So I went to see if Ro had done her teeth, which she had, so I started to put Ro to bed.

"What are we reading tonight young lady?"
"Charlie and the chocolate factory please"
"Ok Buba, you ready?"
"Yeah"

So I read a couple of chapters from Charlie and the chocolate factory.

"Good night Daddy"
"Good night Sweetheart"
"Daddy"
"Yes Darling"
"Is Uncle Georgie ok?"
"Yeah, he's ok Baby"
"Was he crying because your Daddy came today?"
"That definitely didn't help his crying Buba"
"I love you Daddy"
"I love you too Darling"

So I turned off her room light and closed her door, I then went to sit on the couch, Georgie was at the dining table.

"Georgie, is the soup hot through?"
"Yeah it is"
"Ok"
"Teddy"
"Yes Georgie"
"I'm sorry about worryin-"
"No, you don't need to apologise for anything Georgie, are you feeling any better?"
"I feel a little bit better"
"That's good, do you want a cup of tea?"
"That would be nice thank you"

So I went to the kettle and made Georgie and I a cup of tea, when I had the teas made I then gave Georgie his tea and walked back to the couch.

"Thank you Teddy"
"You're welcome Georgie"
"Are you ok Teddy?"
"Yeah I am, why are you asking?"
"Well you've been looking after Ro and I after Nana's death but knowing you, you'll forget about yourself"
"Looking after you and Ro is what I'm supposed to do Georgie"
