Kiara's POV

I chilled around school for a little just catching up. Even being around my normal female entertainment I couldn't take my mind off her. Everest was something different. Every girl I knew threw them self at me but not her, she actually seemed to hate me. I was never a girl interested in playing cat and mouse with some chick I didn't know but she baited in me without even trying.

"Kiara are you paying attention to me," Bethany asked me as her hand snaked around my waist.

"Nah, I actually gotta go, Beth, I'll text ya sometime," I said putting some space in-between us. She made a disapproving look but nodded. I got in my car and drove home. As I opened the door to my room and dropped my bag in a corner, I plopped down on my bed and dialed the number on the scrap paper. I put the phone to my ear and waited relaxing back on my pillows.

"Hello." She said and a part of me sighed glad that she didn't give me the wrong number.

"Hey."

"So what are we doing about this project."

"Chill out chick. We don't even know each other yet."

She sighed and I could tell she was rolling those beautiful green orbs. "My name is not chick, it's Everest and I know who you are Kiara Singleton." I smiled. My name sounded nice coming from her lips. "Well well new girl, I see you did your research, Everest."

"You seem to be very popular. Something about a basketball game."

"You mean The Basketball Game. It was finals and I made the winning shot. It wasn't just any old game." I said. That was the most important game ever and she was saying it like it was just any old game.

"Well I'm not a big ball fan besides being a cheerleader, I," she said.

"you were a cheerleader?" I asked.I wouldn't have pegged her as a cheerleader. "well well I wouldn't have guessed."

"what's that suppose to mean?" she said almost as if she was offended. "I was captain of the team and was head cheerleader of the year. I was in Cheer Royalty!" She practically screamed. I laughed.

"Ok ok, I'm sorry ight. I just didn't peg you as a cheerleader." I said and she huffed. "Why don't you try out for our team. They need a captain anyway."

"Because." She said like I was missing some huge point. "You can't just come to a new school and think you're gonna make head cheerleader!"

"Why not?" I asked. "You go to tryouts you do some cheer and you kill it."

"It's not that simple. Ugh you can't just waltz up into an addition and there is probably people who have been waiting for that spot and if I don't make Captain then what? People would think that I think I'm all that. It would be a disaster. I wouldn't have any friends EVER!"

"You would have me," I said before thinking and bite my lip. Damn, I ain't never felt this way about anybody. I'm Kiara also know as Breezy for how smooth I am on the court. I'm not known for being caught up on a female. I waited for her response and I sighed when she giggled the sweetest sound in the world.

"Yeah and you're such good company to keep." She teased. I laughed too.

"Hey, I'm great company. We just met so you wouldn't know."

"Oh trust, I know all I need to know about you."

"Oh, really and what do you know then?"

"Well, you're obviously an only child. Your use to getting what you want which means your parents spoiled you a lot. Am I right?"
