Chapter 32, Start!

The next day after the ball, we traveled back to school by train. It seemed shorter than the normal 5 hours it takes. I twisted my torso to crack my back and got off the train. "It's good to be back. Right, Erza?"

"Yes. You're right."

Aku followed us back to FMHS like a lost puppy until we reached Head Master Mavis's office. I knocked lightly on the door before entering. "Ah Lucy! What can I do for...oops!" Mavis slapped her hands over her mouth when she saw Erza and Aku behind me. I giggled and waved my hand to dismiss. "They already know."

She sighed in relief and perked up. "Aku here would like to join this school!"
I lightly pushed his back and he stumbled forward. "...oi...," he grumbled. "Are you a wizard?," she asked. He hesitated, then nodded. "Do you have an idea of which guild school you'd like to join?" He nodded again. "I want to be in Fairy Tail like Lucy-san...and Erza-san. If that's okay." Mavis jotted a few things down and looked up to face him, shoving a uniform in his face. "Welcome to Fiore Magic High School! You'll be in the gifted males dorm with miss Lucy since those are still the only rooms available. But it seems like it won't be a problem!"

He stared at his hand that now held the uniform and smiled brightly. "Thank you!" Erza placed a hand on his shoulder and led him out. "Congratulations!"
"Yeah, Congrats! I'll show you to the dorms."
It was exciting to no longer be the new kid in school after two months of being here.  "So...," he said, "you live with guys?"

"Yeah," I said with a shrug, "but it's not like they know I'm a girl. Well actually...two of them do."

"And you're comfortable with that?"

I sighed and stared at the large building we were approaching. "Yeah. It's like a fun new experience. Why?"

"...no reason."

I stopped in front of the glass doors and opened it. "Well, welcome to the Gifted male dorms! This is the lobby, of course. The fifth floor is the common room, and all of our dorms are on the sixth floor. I don't know what's on the other floors though.  No one has ever told me. Your room should be the maroon door next to the pink one, that's mine. I have to go report back to the council office, so go get settled in okay?" I said handing him a key. He smiled and took it from my hand, and I swiftly left the dormitory. The council office wasn't very far from the gifted dorm. Only a few blocks (about a quarter mile) away. I pushed the door open and peeked my head inside. Empty. You could only hear a faint typing sound in the background. I stepped inside and let go of the door, but it didn't sound like it was closing. Maybe it took a long time to close by itself. When I was about to step forward, I was pulled back into an embrace. "Lucy..."

"...Rogue?" I tilted my head back and saw his black tuff of hair. Yup. Rogue. "How was the quest?," I asked. He let me go and walk forward.  "It was boring. But it was for a good cause I guess."

I laughed at him comment. "Yeah. I guess that seems sensible." He nodded and continued to the service desk, where he handed the elderly woman a stamped sheet of paper.  "You completed your task in less than the 72 hour time limit, so your bonus is 10 ECP,'' she said.  Rogue hummed in response.  Then i handed her my paper.  "Task completed.  No time bonus.  But due to inflicted injuries during the quest you will be given 15 extra ECP as compensation."  Smirking, i looked at Rogue who gave me a playful dirty look.  I spun on my heel and walked out, Rogue following.  "Hey," i said, "During my quest Erza and I crossed paths with someone and we brought him back with us."

"Him?," he said in a slightly questionable tone.  I nodded , "His name is Aku.  He joined FMHS not too long ago.  Now he's going to live with us! Isn't that exciting?!," i said.  I looked at him and saw his contorted expression.  "What's wrong.  You don't seem too happy about that."  He seemed to snap out of his daze and slightly flinched. "N-no.  I'm fine"  He stuttered.  He never does.  I guess i really must have caught him off guard.  "Um..,'' he mumbled.  I stopped and turned to look at him but...

"LUUKKEE"

"KYA!" I fell to the ground as i was tackled by someone with a head of pink hair.  "NATSU!,'' i yelled.  He got off and rubbed the back of his neck.  "Sorry.  I was just really excited for you to come back."

"You were?"

"Yeah.  He was.  He was like, 'Luke this' and 'Luke that' and 'I wish Luke will comeback soon' the entire time you were gone,'' Zeref said coming up behind his brother.  I felt my cheeks heat up, and Natsu went beet red.  "O-Oi! Shut Up!"  Zeref broke out into a quiet fit of laughter.  Rogue seemed really upset about what he had heard.  why? i have no idea.  Then Sting and Loke came in running.  "J-jeez.  You cant just leave like that Natsu!,'' Loke said.  "Why did you even need to le- Oh.." Sting realized i was still on the ground with Natsu right next to me sitting quite close. "Your back!" He leaped onto me and hugged me. "Sting! I haven't even been gone for three days!"

"That's so long~"

He was thrown off of me. "Oi! What was that for!"

"Don't hug him!"

"But you hugged him too," Rogue said bitterly.
Natsu pouted and crossed his arms. "Whatever."

I raised my arms up. "Hey, hey. Let's all get along. You guys missed me. I get it. Hey...where's Laxus? And Gray?"

"Still on the quest. He's lucky. He got the fun one," Loke said. "Didn't you escort the princess?"

"Yes, but she didn't let me flirt..." he said. "Didn't I tell you that would happen?," Gray said finally making an appearance. "Don't remind me!!" Loke sulked. I giggled and stood up from the ground. "Did you guys see the guy who was in our dorm? I didn't know if he lives there now or if he broke in, " Gray said.

"And you left him?!?," Sting yelled. "He could've taken our stuff!!"

"Calm down," I said with my arms crossed. "He's the new student. I brought him here from my mission. His name is Aku."

They looked at me with wide eyes. "EH?!"

"Come on.  I'll introduce you. Just be nice to him, he's had a really tough life."

'I don't like this. Not at all,' they all thought, 'not at all'
