I reached my hand out into the water and helped Aku get out of it since it's probably hard to get out of a pool with one hand.

"You did well," I said with a smile.

"... no I didn't. I lost."

"So?"

He glanced at me with a confused expression. "I-"

I pulled my hand away from his and turned to Wendy, not realising I cut him off. I bent down a bit and placed a hand on her head. "Good job, Wendy. You're even stronger than I thought!"

Her face went beet red and you can see the imaginary steam puffing out. "A-ah...T-thank you, Luke-san!" With that she clumsily ran away.

"She doesn't know...does she?," Aku asked. I shook my head with a sigh. "No, nor should she or anyone else know."

I sat back on the bleachers with my face on the palm of my hand. The sudden thought of my upcoming battle sent my stomach plummeting. "I'm not ready for thisss!" I whined.

"Relax. Just think about it this way: It'll all be in the past soon enough," he said.

"All in the past, huh?"

I looked up at the arena, then to Gildarts who was jotting things down onto a paper.

I wonder out of how many point he's grading us on.

Finally after god knows how long, I heard a familiar sound of heavy footsteps.

"Sorry I'm late. The Quest took longer than I anticipated."

"You had the uncharted land quest right?," Gildarts responded. Laxus nodded and they continued their brief conversation. Then he looked at me, causing me to flinch. It's time. Gildarts nodded in my direction and I gulped.

I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead! I'M DEAD!

I climbed onto the platform and the barrier slowly closed over top. "You seem overly nervous," he said. His fist was sparking.
"You would be nervous too if you were fighting someone stronger than you," I mumbled.

He chuckled a bit then completely lit his hand up with lightning. I could feel the hairs on my arm stick up. "You're stronger than you think. That's why I'm feeling like this'll be a really interesting fight"

EH?! He's acting sadistic and it's freaking me out!

Laxus pulled his fist back and started to charge at me. I flinched and narrowly dodged it. This is no time to be cowardly.  I lit my hand up in blue magic and threw a punch at him. He stepped to the side and I missed. I threw several more punches, missing all of them consecutively.

"Lightning Dragons's iron fist!" He charged at me with a huge amount of lightning engulfing his entire arm and hit me square in the jaw. I flew back skidding to a stop. My face had a burn on it that was blistering and bleeding. I gingerly touched it and hissed in pain.  I stood up straight and as soon as I did he attacked me again hitting me in the stomach.

This guy really doesn't have any mercy when it comes to a battle.

"Galaxy dragon's black hole!" I made a portal open under his feet. He fell through. Then another portal opened 30 ft above the platform and he fell though it, crashing into the ground.

He stood up with a smirk on his face. "Not bad, Luke"

"But can you de-"

I cut him off with another attack. "Galaxy Dragon's Roar!"
A black beam laced in blue shot from the magic circle over my mouth and crashed into him. He fell flat onto the floor, clutching his abdomen.

"That hurt like hell...," he mumbled. "Lightning Dragon's Roar!"

I was able to dodge it by making a back bridge. But...
"Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halberd!" He came up behind me with a rod of lightning tightly held in his hands and brought it down right onto my back.

"AHHH!" I shrieked at the electrical pulse surging through my back. I heard my skin sizzle at the contact and I cried out once more.

"Galaxy dragon's blue star!"  Searing hot blue fire shot from my back like wings and hit Laxus, burning his arms in the process. I could feel the heat from my magic slowly burning away my binding. I need to finish this fight before it completely burns away.

"Galaxy dragon's super nova!" I slammed my hand into the ground. Magic energy raced under Laxus and exploded upwards, causing him to be launched into the water, incapacitated. The magic barrier finally fell and I took the opportunity to run out back to the dorm.

My biding finally gave out! I was holding my chest so hopefully no one would see it. I ran inside and grabbed my key to unlock my room door. It clicked and I went inside, closing the door behind me. I finally took my hand away from my chest and took off my shirt. Every time the fabric moved I could feel it skim my blistering burns. It hurt so much!

Tears flooded my eyes as I finally removed my shirt. Burns. Burns completely covered my back, abdomen, and arms. I touched my face and flinched. The burn was bright red and swollen. I cried in pain, taking hold of a golden key.

"Open, gate of the maiden: Virgo!"

"Princess!"
Her stoic face contorted into one of worry when she saw my state. "What caused you to get such injuries, Princess?"

"Battle test..," I said smiling through my tears.
"Why didn't use magic to heal it?"

"I," I glared at the ground in frustration, "I can't anymore. I can't heal myself anymore!"

I don't know why, but ever since my quest with. Natsu, I couldn't use healing magic anymore.

"I see. Let me bandage you up."

She gently put a potion on my burns and wrapped them in white bandages. My entire upper body, except for my face was bandaged. My jaw had a gauze pad tapped to it. My chest was left revealed.

"Princess, I brought another binding. Try not to use it until tomorrow so your wounds could heal."

I nodded and she disappeared. I sighed and sat on the bed. I grabbed my wig and dispelled it before I yanked it off and tossed it onto my nightstand.  "I really have to work on my battle strategies. I'm still really weak...," I mumbled to myself.  "I hope Laxus is okay"

I flopped down onto my bed trying not to irritate my burns....but then I heard it.

*thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! SLAM!*

My door was slammed open and I shot up from my bed in pure shock and fear. WHY DO I ALWAYS FORGET TO LOCK THE DOOR?!

"Luke! I heard what happened from Wendy and I came...to...check up on...you..."

There he stood in the doorway, confused with a face as pink as his brother's hair.

"ZEREF!"

"W-What...THE HECK?!"
