A/N: Today I met Todd Haberkorn (aka the English voice actor for Natsu) at the Con!! I posted the drawing I made that he signed for me in the last chapter. So take a look if you get a chance!!

P.S.: please stop telling me to update. I'm trying the best I can and it's just putting a lot of pressure on me. Thanks!

Lucy's POV
_________

I followed after Loke, who had just stormed out of the dorms. I followed him silently across the school grounds to the exit, where he picked up his pace. I quickened my steps.

I always had some sort of suspicion about Loke. The fact that his magical presence seemed muffler, and how he was 'scared' of celestial wizards. And if I'm correct...then he should actually be...

"Damn it! I'm lost!," the ginger yelled. I stopped in my track and waited for him to get his bearings.

I never took him for someone to get lost so easily. But he seemed very upset, so maybe it's messing with his head?

"Ah...," a low mumble escaped his lips and he turned onto a dirt path. Where on earth is he going? Is he...no...could he be...going to...?

The sound of a waterfall blocked my train of thought. I looked. There was a cliff surrounded by a grand waterfall. On the edge of the cliff was a newly installed gravestone with 'Karen Lilica' neatly etched in the glossy stone. Loke kneeled in front of the stone.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen!," he sobbed, "I just wanted you to learn that we don't like being treated cruelly! It hurts! I just...wanted you to know what it's like. But...I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO DIE!!"

He grasped the stone gently, tears visibly dripping onto its surface, the soft sound muffled by the waterfall. I felt my heart clench.

"But I guess I deserve it don't I? The thing that going to happen next.

What? What was he saying?

"My punishment. Death."

"WHAT?!," I screamed which caused him to turn around shocked. "Luke?"

"You can't just let yourself die, Loke! Or...should I say Leo."

He looked at me with wide eyes as I approached him. "H-how did you know?"

"You muffle your magic presence and you're afraid of celestial wizards hinted at it. But what you said here confirmed it. You are Leo the Lion."

He sighed and pulled away from the gravestone. "Yes. I'm Leo."

"Why would Karen dying lead to your death?," I asked jumping right into it.

"It's my fault that she died.  I was the rebel spirit that kept his gate open. I drained her magic energy by doing that, and she died because of it.  She tried to open another gate...and..."

"But you didn't kill her. She chose to open another gate even when she knew what it could do. You did nothing. You were just protecting Aries. Weren't you?"

"But if I-"

"You. Didn't. Kill. Her."

"It doesn't matter what you think, Luke! My gate has been open too long! My body can't handle the Earth anymore!"

"Then go back to the spirit world!"

"I CAN'T!! That's my punishment from the Sprit King! I'm banned from going back to the celestial spirit world!"

"But why?! You didn't do anything!"

"I killed Karen! And now I'm going to die to make it up to her, right in front of her grave!"

"You didn't kill Karen! It's not your fault that she died! Why can't you get that through her head."

No...no...I can't let him do that. I won't let him do that! He's my friend. My Nakama. He's a part of our family and I won't let him go just like that! There's so much we have to learn about each other. He can't just leave!

"Hey," he said softly. I glanced at him. "Can I tell you something before I go?"

"I'm not letting you die!"

"Just listen! Please!" I shut my mouth and kneeled next to him.

"I want to tell you about something that's been on my mind since i met you," he looked into my eyes with a soft look, "ever since you came, my heart has been burning. My mind has been going haywire every time I see you. I get nervous, flustered...excited. I didn't think much of it before...but then...whenever I flirted with someone I felt like I was betraying you somehow. It felt wrong. I may be a 'love expert' but I didn't know my own feelings. What I'm...what I'm trying to say is...that...even though you're a guy, I..."

He started to glow and become transparent. My heart was beating out of my chest. Tears spilled from my eyes as he leaned closer. His nose touched my own. I felt his warm breath on my lips as the cupped my cheek with his hand.

"I love you," he whispered just before pressing his lips onto my own, kissing me. I couldn't believe it. He...loved me?

As he pulled away he wiped the newly formed tears from my eyes. My cheeks were red from being flustered and crying. He let out a small chuckle. "You really are just like a girl."

I grasped the fringe of my wig and harshly tugged it off. "That's because I am a girl, dammit!," I cried out.

I heard his breath hitch. "My name is Lucy Heartfilia! And I'm not about to sit here and watch you disappear!"

I grabbed onto his shoulders and released all my magic energy. Magic exploded upwards from my body into the heavens.

"OPEN! GATE OF THE LION, LEO!"

I felt his hands try to pry my own off of his shoulders. "Lucy stop! It's not going to work!"

"OPEN! GATE OF THE LION!"

"Stop! I'm telling you it's not going to work!"

"IM NOT GOING TO LET YOU DIE FOR SOMETHING YOU DIDN,T DO!"

I released more and more magic energy, not listening to Loke.

"STOP IT! YOURE GOING TO DISAPPEAR TOO AT THIS RATE! IM NOT GOING TO LET THE ONE I LOVE DIE FOR ME! It'll...just be another death on my hand!"

"NO! OPEN! GATE OF THE LION!"

Around me, one by one, my celestial spirits appeared, surrounding me.

"Don't you see. All your friends here will miss you. Don't you care about them? Do you really want them to mourn your death? A death you didn't deserve. Go back with them. "

"Why can't you get it? I can't go back. That's the king's punishment. And once he makes the decision he's not going to change it."

"Well he should rethink!"

"DONT BE STUPID! HES NOT GOING TO CHANGE HIS MIND!"

"YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!  HE'S WRONG!"

My voice echoed in the now suddenly quiet space. The waterfalls had stopped moving and the Sky opened revealing a large humanoid male with a large moustache.

"Hello, Old friend."

I gasped, "oh my god."

"I can't believe he came just because you said he was wrong!"
