Death of a Pegasus

(Third person POV.)

Loke swiftly ran from the forest to the Blue Pegasus school hall. But he was giving off a different aura than the sparkling one before. It was harsh, angry, and deadly. He walked behind the building with a harsh glare on his face. He stopped at the small sized statue of a Pegasus. The area around it was covered in flora.  There were rose bushes lining the outside rim of the open area, large jade trees were planted in the background and an array of wild flowers dotted the grass. This was a great place for courting someone. But this was not why Loke had come here. No. He sharply turned his head to the green haired woman standing next to the winged horse. The woman cringed at his suffocating aura that was emitting from him.

"Have you made up your mind, Karen?"

"Leo! Please! Let's talk this out!  I'm almost completely out of magic energy because of your gate staying open!"

He scoffed and continued to stare at her with cold eyes. "You should have thought about that before you started abusing Aries."

"I'm sorry! I won't ever do it again! I'll be nice, I swear! I just need you to come back! I need my magic energy so I can go on quests and earn money!"

"I know you, Karen. Once I come back you'll go right back to abusing her. And you know what? I'll just force my gate to stay open again, and again, and again until you release both me and Aries from our contracts."

"I CANT DO THAT!! You two are the strongest celestial spirits I have! Without you two I'd fail every quest!"

"Why didn't you think about these consequences before you hurt her...us. Didn't the thought of us rising up and revolting against you ever cross your mind? You're a smart woman, but that's just stupid."

Tears fell from Karen's eyes as she listened. But not in sadness. In anger. "YOU DONT UNDERSTAND YOU USELESS FOOL!! I need money to survive and you're the one who's stopping me from getting it."

Loke finally looked away from her. "Tch."

She clenched her fist and started to glare at her celestial spirit. "You know what? Fine! I'll go on a job! I'll show you I don't need you!"

Loke's eyes widened. "Are you STUPID!?! You'll die trying to open another gate!"

"I need money!"

He thought about what he should do for a moment. And then...he took a step away. "Fine. See if I care."

Then he left her to fend for herself.

...if only he knew what would happen later that day.

TIME SKIPPPPP

"Hey guys!," the ginger man said with a grin.

"Yo, Loke!" Everyone said back. He glanced at his friends sitting in the living room of their dorm and sighed. Since when did he deserve such great friends? Although they were annoying sometimes, they were always there for him. He looked at Luke and sighed. Something about him always bothered him. He looked too feminine to be a male. And the other guys looked as if they were falling in love with him.

'I swear! Luke is totally a beautiful girl in disguise!' He thought to himself. He placed a hand on his chin and nodded his head comically with a hum. "Mhm. Totally."

Suddenly Luke looked in his direction. "Is something wrong? You've been standing there for a while now," he said. Loke flinched and struck a strange pose. "AHAHAHA! NOPE! NOTHING IS WRONG!!," he yelled. Luke rose and eyebrow and shrugged it off, allowing Loke to sigh in relief. His cheeks were tinted with a light pink hue. 'Damn. He's so friggin cute. He can't be a guy. It's just not possible!'

"Dude seriously. What's wrong with you. You're a blushing mess," Gray said with an annoyed expression. He's been feed up with all the guys in the dorm, excluding Laxus and himself, having a crush on someone. He missed the times were it was just the guys. No random girl, or guy, to come in between them. He sighed.

"Luuukke~," someone groaned in pain. "I think I ate too much!"

It was Natsu. Since when has Natsu said he's eaten too much?, the guys thought.

"And what can I possibly do to fix that?," the shorter blonde said slightly agitated. The pinkette sat next to him and flopped his body onto his lap. "Rub my tummy~"

"What are you? A baby?"

The guys waited for Luke to push Natsu off. But that moment never came. Instead he let out a girly giggle and placed his slender hand on the boy's stomach. Not expecting it to actually happen, Natsu flushed pink. Loke felt a pang in his heart at the sight. Ignoring it, he sat down as far away from the two as possible and watched the School's channel. It was currently broadcasting a magic soccer game. It's basically soccer where you can use magic.

"NO YOU IDIOT!! KEEP RUNNING!," Sting shouted throwing the coffee table in the process. "Please stop breaking the furniture...," Rouge said rubbing his temples. Loke simply chuckled. This would happen every day, yet it's something he cherished deeply.

"Hey! What's going on?," Gray complained. Loke looked at the screen. "BREAKING NEWS!" Flashing across the screen. The face of Principle Mavis appeared on screen. That's when he started to get worried.

"Today marks the day of a tragic accident. Our very own Karen Lilica of Blue Pegasus has passed away during a dangerous quest. According to the doctors at the site, she was completely out of magic power and tried to summon another celestial spirit. They say the magic drainage was caused by a rebel spirit. We will be holding a ceremony in her honour tomorrow at 5 p.m. to mourn the death of a Pegasus. That is all."

The screen turned back to the soccer game.

Loke looked at the ground with wide eyes. He was trembling. "Loke? Are you okay? We know you and Kare-"

"SHUT UP!," he shouted. Then he stormed out. Not long after, Luke followed.

Lucy had finally figured him out.
