"where to, mr.mendes?" i call him that when i wanna irritate him, cuz for some reason, he doesn't want me calling him that.
he glanced over at me from his seat with a look that could kill me.
i smiled a little and waited for him to answer.
"i don't know, i kinda just felt like driving around." he said and paid all of his attention to the road ahead of him.
i nodded my head and watched the whole way ahead of us as well.
a few minutes later, i got an idea.
"let's see who can make the cheesiest pick up lines." i said.
"ok, we know who's gonna win." he said and looked at me.
"me, cuz i'm the master mind." i said.
"no no no, cuz you're cheesy." he said.
"i swear to god shawn you should have a crown that says "king cheesy" because of how cheesy you are." i said earning a laugh from him.
he shook his head a little and smiled. that smile makes my heart explode.
"are you trash? cuz i'd love to take you out some time." he started.
"that's actually good though. just be careful with who you use it on." i said and winked.
he gave me an 'are you serious' look.
"yeah, who am i gonna use it on besides the girl i'm in a relationship with?" he asked rhetorically.
i smiled and looked down at my hands on my lap. soon i felt shawn reach over and grab my left hand and rubbing his thumb along it. i squeezed his hand and looked over at him. still had his focus on the road, but had a smile on his face.
"are you a 9? because i'm the 1 you need." i said and raised my eyebrows at shawn.
"impressive." he said sarcastically.
"i know, i put a lot of thought into that one." i said and crossed my arms on my chest.
"hey, come back.." he said reaching for my hand again.
he's so adorable how do i deserve him?
i grabbed his hand and brought it to my lips, placing a delicate kiss on the top of his hand. we got to a stop sign and he leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"i love you darling." he said afterwards.
"i love you too." i said and blushed.

"oh my gosh.." i gasped as i saw us pull up to where shawn took me on my birthday last year.
"surprise!" he said and looked over at me and smiled.
my face lit up with a huge smile. this place is my happy place. a few months ago when shawn and i kind of had a falling out, i came here. all the memories flushed through my mind. it helped remind me what an amazing guy shawn really is.
"i figured since this is like our happy place, it'd do no harm coming here. right?" he asked awkwardly.
"of course." i smiled and hugged him from my seat.
we got out of the car and did our usual walk through the big field of flowers, which were basically all dried up now, but it looked really cool.
"i cant believe this is our last year of highschool." shawn suddenly said.
"i know, it's crazy. it went by faster than i expected it to." i said.
i looked over at him and saw him smiling at the ground.
"what's on your mind?" i asked him.
"everything." he replied and smiled even more.
"name off a few things." i said and smiled a little as well.
"you... us.." he said causing me to smile even more.
i smiled so big i even let out a small laugh.
"i love your laugh. i love your smile. everything about you is so adoring to me. how do you do it?" he asked.
"i think i could ask you the same.." i said.
he stopped me and looked at me. he grabbed my arms gently, and lightly rubbed up and down them.
"ariana rae grier, i am so endlessly, deeply in love with you. i don't wanna scare you off by saying that, i understand it's a lot to take in. especially with how young we are. i just hope, maybe you feel the same." he said and smiled shyly at the end.
i smiled at him and looked straight into his beautiful brown eyes.
"of course i feel the same, i'd be crazy not to." i said and stood on my toes to kiss him.
