Kelly POV
"Hey girl." I said hugging her.
"Hey Kelly. How have you been?"
"Chelle I'm tired."
"I know you are because I'm tired. Have you told anybody yet?"
I shook my head, "No. Have you?"
"I was planning on telling my mom first because she'll be easier to tell. My brother and dad on the other hand, not so much. How long do you plan on keeping this a secret though?"
"As long as I can."
"I'm not telling you when, but that baby is going to be here soon. How you going to hide a baby when your parents come to visit?"
"I'll tell them I'm babysitting?"
She started laughing, "With the baby looking just like you? Good luck with that."
"Any who. Have you heard from Shawn?"
"No, I think he's kind of given up hope. Last time I talked to him he sounded less than hopeful."
"Yeah and that letter didn't help any."
"But we know her, BB wouldn't just up and leave. I mean I know they were having problems, but to block us out too? That's not like her at all."
"You're right. But we don't have the resources to look for her like he does." I sighed rubbing my stomach, "I just really miss her."
"Me too. You remember the home opener Junior year?"
I giggled, "How could I forget.""Hi Mr. Knowles."
"Hello girls. How are you two?"
"Oh we're just fine."
"Keeping up those grades I hope."
"Daddy leave my friends alone." Beyoncé said coming in the room.
"I'm just making conversation."
"I'm sure. Love you, bye." she kissed his cheek and we were about to leave.
"Where you going with that on?"
"Daddy, I'm going to the football game. I told you that."
"You're not going to get cold?"
"Mathew leave the girl alone. Y'all have fun and don't talk to ugly boys. I want my grandchildren to look nice." Mrs. Knowles teased.
"Tina don't tell the girl that."
"Oh hush. Bye y'all. Beyoncé you know what time curfew is. If you're not coming home just let us know.""Girl if your daddy was tripping on what you were wearing, I'm glad he didn't see my top." I laughed as we got in Michelle's car.
"He's just doing the most now that I'm sixteen."
"You think he'll trip if we go to this teen club. There's an after party and I'm trying to get lit."
She shrugged, "What he doesn't know won't hurt him."
"BB we're a bad influence on you." Michelle said laughing.
"Y'all been the only ones cool since I started at this crap ass school."
"I'm just glad you got in. I mean we knew you would but it's just good to finally all go to the same school."
"Yeah because weekends were not cutting it." I said.
Beyoncé's mom did mine and Michelle's mom's hair. We would go to the hair salon and Beyoncé would be there so we would play with her. We've been bestfriends ever since. Once we were about to start high school, my mom suggested that Beyoncé go to the same school since she knew she had good grades.
"So, we sitting with the team?"
"Girl no. I don't like them like that." Beyoncé scoffed. "I like y'all and the other girl on our relay. That's it. And since she's a cheerleader too, I'm good with just sitting with y'all."
"Well excuse the hell out of me."
"She just don't want people to be around if Shawn comes." Michelle giggled.
"Here y'all go." she said playfully rolling her eyes. "How many times do I have to tell y'all we're just friends?"
"You can tell us until you're blue in the face." we laughed. "BB we know y'all like each other. It's cool boo. You don't have to lie to us."
"Why don't people believe we're just friends? It's not like girls and boys can't be friends."
"My guy friends don't carry my books for me or walk me to practice." Michelle said.
"Yeah because Joey would probably beat their ass."
"Point taken. But still you get my drift."
"He's just a gentleman."
"Well we've practically grown up with the boy. Whether you like him or not, he's definitely feeling you." I said.
