Beyoncé POV

I finally made it home. I took my shoes off and left them by the door. I went into my bedroom and took my clothes off getting in the shower. After about twenty minutes, I stepped out and dried myself off. I put lotion over my body and got under the sheets and passed out. Nobody's here so I'm sleeping free tonight. The next morning I woke up to someone banging on my door. I got out the bed and went to see who it was. I looked out the peep hole to see some man in a suit.
"Who is it?"
"Oliver Davis."
"I don't know a Oliver."
"If I can have a moment of your time?"
"Hold on." I went back to my room and threw on some sweats and a hoodie. I made my way back to the door and opened it slightly, "Can I help you?"
"I was walking the neighborhood and-"
"This early?"
"Yes ma'am."
"And in this neighborhood?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Look, I'm not that old. So cut the ma'am stuff."
"I'm sorry. Well I was in the neighborhood and wanted to know if you were prepared for Jehovah's return?"
Oh hell no. "Nah, I'm not. But I'm sure you're going to tell me that I need to be."
"I have this pamphlet here," he said pulling out this paper. "It tells you everything you need to know."
"Let me ask you a question. You really believe that only a certain number of people are going to Heaven and the rest are going to be in some paradise?"
"I sure do."
"You think you one of those chosen few?"
"Yes I do."
"Well how do you know the spots aren't already full?" He looked at me funny, so I continued. "I mean think about it. You're not the only Jehovah Witness in the world. I'm sure there were a lot of people before you and I know there's going to be some after you. How are you so sure that you, Oliver, will be in Heaven?"
"Well I-"
"Exactly. Listen, don't come knocking on this door this early, or ever for that fact, again. Now, you have a blessed day sir." I closed the door and went back to my room taking off my clothes and getting back in bed. I looked at my phone and saw a text from Marquis. I decided to call him back.
"I'm surprised you're up." he said in his morning voice.
"Well good morning to you too."
"You get my message?"
"Yeah, I don't have the kids with me though."
"They at your sisters?"
"They're with Ms. Gloria. They wanted to spend the week with her and she didn't mind. So I dropped them off last Sunday."
"You haven't seen them since Sunday?"
"Boy please. I go see them everyday. They just haven't slept here since then."
"Oh okay. You going to get them today, right?"
"I honestly forgot that you wanted to take them."
"We can reschedule-"
"No it's fine. I'll just get ready and go get them ready too."
"So you'll be ready about 9:30?"
"Let's say ten to give me a little cushion in case we're not."
"Okay, I'll call you when I'm on my way."
"Okay, see you later."

"Morning babies." I smiled walking in. They ran and gave me a hug then went back to watching tv. "Uh un. I need y'all to go get dressed."
"But mommy we watching cartoons." Aubri said.
"I know but we have somewhere to be in a few hours. I brought y'all some clothes." I handed them their bags and they went to change.
"Giselle where you going? And where ya clothes?"
"Mama it's going to be hot outside."
"So you just not wearing clothes to keep cool?"
"Mama." I whined.
"I'm only joking child. You look cute."
"Thank you."
"Got ya booty all out. Where y'all going?"
"Marquis wanted to take the kids to Disneyland."
She nodded her head, "Explains the shorts."
"What?"
"You flounce around in little to no clothing and expect that man to only view you as a friend. A snake might appear friendly but it's still a snake."
"Huh?"
"He's still a man. On the outside he's respecting your wishes but on the inside he sees you as more."
I deeply sighed. I know what I'm doing but I'm not trying to take it that far. Technically I'm still engaged but I don't even know if he's still out there or even looking for me. Is it bad that I'm being faithful to a man and I don't even know if he's concerned about finding me?
"Mommy I'm ready." Aubri said coming in. "Am I cute?"
"Of course you are. You're the cutest little girl and don't let anyone tell you otherwise." I picked her up and she gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Can I wear my watch?" King asked.
"Yeah but you better not lose it."
"I won't."
"Where we going mommy?"
"It's a surprise. I can't tell you."
"Aww that's no fair." she pouted.
"You'll like it, I promise." I put her down. "Y'all go sit at the table so y'all can eat."

"Did y'all have fun?" I glanced in the back seat and they were both knocked out. "I guess that answers my question."
"I could tell you enjoyed yourself."
"Hey," I said hitting him playfully. "Disney Land brings out the kid in everyone."
"Beyoncé you were pushing little kids out the way."
"In my defense the little girl sat right in front of my baby."
"Aubri could still see though."
"Yeah when I told her little fat ass to move."
He shook his head, "After you yanked her up."
"Bet she won't sit in front of a baby again."
"You're a mess." I noticed he took the exit for Rasheeda's house.
"Where you going?"
"You need someone to watch the kids while you're at work since Ms. Gloria isn't home right?"
"I actually don't have to go in tonight."
"Oh. Well I'll take y'all home then."
I checked my purse and realized I didn't have my keys so I called Rasheeda.
"Hey BB!"
"Hey, you home?"
"No, I told you Laiya's other grandmother is having a birthday celebration. I'm over here." Shit my key to her house is on the same key chain as my other keys.
"Okay."
"Why?"
"Nothing, never mind."
"Oh, did y'all have fun?"
"Yeah we did. I'll call you tomorrow."
"Alright, love you."
"Love you too."
"You good?"
"Uh yeah." I said fumbling with fingers. "Marquis?"
"Yeah?"
"I know this might sound weird but can you take me to your house?" he glanced at me then back to the road. "I left my keys at Ms. Gloria's and my key to Rasheeda's house is attached. I'm not tr-" I rambled.
"It's cool. Uh I don't really have groceries at my house for everyone to eat. You want to stop and get something?"
"Sure. Chik Fil A is fine."
"Alright." He pulled into the drive thru and ordered our food and paid for it.
"Why do you always pay?"
"That's what a gentleman does. Boyfriend or not."
"As a woman, I don't expect you to all the time."
"I understand. But let me be nice to you woman."
"Okay, okay."

"This sauce is so good." Aubri said.
"Yeah Chik Fil A sauce is better than ketchup." King said.
"That's a lot coming from you King."
"Told you you guys would like it." Marquis said.
"Y'all had a good day?"
"Mhm. I like my Minnie Mouse ears."
"They're Mickey Mouse Ears."
"Uh un. It's Minnie because I'm a girl."
"But we have the same ones." she shrugged.
"Okay you two, throw your trash away and say goodnight." They got up and did as I said and I went to tuck them in. "Thank you for today."
"It was nothing."
"Uh yeah, it was. You spent a good grand on us today."
"Just trying to be a good friend."
I stared at him, "You wouldn't try to buy my friendship, right?"
"Nah. I know you don't need me to do things, I just do them. I did the same for Rasheeda and Laiya when she first left her dude. I'm just a caring guy."
I nodded, "Well I'm going to sleep. Rasheeda said she'd come get us in the morning so you don't have to take us home."
"Goodnight Beyoncé."
"Goodnight."
