Beyoncé POV

I pulled into my drive way and got Kenzie out. My other two got out and nearly knocked me over. They were talking so fast at the same time that I couldn't keep up. "Woah, woah, woah. Slow down."
"But ma he knew!" King said.
"Who knew what?"
"Papa knew that the lady was mean to you and King!" Aubri chimed in.
I glanced up confusedly at Shawn who was standing there with his hands in his pockets. "Here, take your sister. Go in the house. And you grab their things and meet me inside." I got me and Kenzie's things and took them inside. I sat in the living room on one of our couches. Shawn came and stood at the edge.
"Beyoncé I don't know how to say this."
"Sit down and talk to me. You're making my blood pressure go up."
He sat at the opposite end of the couch facing forward. "I'm sorry. I really am sorry."
"For what? You're really scaring me right now."
"The envelope my dad left for me, I never touched it. I threw it on the table and kind of forgot about it because I was still grieving." he sighed. "King found it somehow and confronted me about it."
I nodded, "So, now what?"
"I've already called the police back home and-"
"Wait I don't think it's that serious. I mean you really can-"
"Beyoncé she's the reason- never mind. That woman is going to pay for what she did to us."
"Us? I mean I get she lied about being your mom but what does that have to do with me?"
He looked at me with the most distressed face. He moved closer to me and grabbed my hands. Word after word, and my heart rate was increasing. My emotions are all over the place.
"Beyoncé? Beyoncé did you hear-"
I snatched my hands from him, "Leave. Get out."
"Baby listen-"
"No. Get out. I'm serious." I walked towards the door and held it open for him.
"We need to talk about this." he said quietly. "I'll call you later on."
I slid down the door after I closed and locked it. King came in and I immediately pulled him to me. We stayed in this position for what seemed like forever.
"I'm so sorry King."
"Ma it's not your fault." he said wiping my tears. "I don't blame you."
"I should have made better choices but I was young and thought I was grown. I love you and your sisters more than life itself."
"You can't change the past. We know you love us because you care for us everyday even though we try your patience sometimes."
I cracked a smile, "I love you baby boy."
"I love you too Ma."

Shawn POV

I went and knocked on the door hoping she would be home. "Shawn? Beyoncé and the kids aren't here."
"Hey Kelly, you busy?"
"Just having a girl's day with Michelle and our daughters. What's up?"
"Can I talk to y'all?"
"Yeah, come on in."
"Serenity and Jade go to my room and turn on a movie."
"Hey Uncle Shawn!" they gave me a hug before disappearing into the back.
"Hey Shawn, why you interrupting girl's day?" Michelle said.
"I messed up, real bad."
"How?"
"The envelope my dad left me.... I opened it."
"Finally? It's been months, what did it say?"
"My m- Karen was behind all of it. She hired the dude to snatch Beyoncé and King. She's the reason I lost my family!" I yelled in frustration as I continued to tell them. "And to find out that she's really not my fucking mom?! Like how the hell you ruin my family and you're not even my fucking mom?! I could kill her."
They were quiet before Kelly spoke, "Okay, Mama Tina is going to kill her first. She already didn't like the way she treated her and second of all you're surprised she's not your mom? Didn't your great aunt tell you AFTER Beyoncé tried to tell you?"
"Yeah Shawn, we're all pissed about her doing that to King and Beyoncé but how many times did she try to tell you? You kept pushing that woman on them kids even when they weren't feeling her."
"I know that but she raised me. Don't people say the man who raised you is your dad even if he's not biologically your dad? I couldn't just turn on her at that time. She was all I knew."
"Nigga didn't you just say that he took you from your mom and cut all contact?"
"He threatened to throw her in jail and leave your sisters stranded in foster care. Shawn your dad was trash as hell back then. That woman only stood in because your daddy cheated on your mom and he took you with him. She got attached and knew if she treated you like shit then she'd be out the door." Kelly said. "We've met your real mom. She's nothing like Karen."
"Y'all met her?" they nodded.
"Shawn when she finally saw you at the funeral and Mama Tina's house she wanted so bad to hug you."
"But you were so far up Karen's ass that she knew you wouldn't be open to her." Michelle said rolling her eyes. "From what we can see, she's loved you for your whole life."
"I don't know what to do. My whole life is a lie and it's ruined because of some sick woman."
"Well Beyoncé is going to need some time. Like real time to let what you just told her to process. It's been what? Five years since she got away and she still gets shaken up about it. And she tried to tell-"
"I know that Chelle. I know."
"Look nigga don't be mad at us because you didn't listen and now the shit is coming back to bite you. She was basically your wife and you went off and did your thing and left her then got mad when she said she wasn't waiting on you anymore."
"Anymore?"
"Shawn when you and Beyoncé finally reunited, she thought y'all would be together again. Even when you left back to Florida and only dealt with her because of the kids, she thought y'all would be together. Then she let go and got a new man."
"I still love her." I confessed.
"Well she's in love with another man." Michelle said. "You had your chance and you ruined it by getting with Mika."
"Chelle you know that's not her name." Kelly said shaking her head.
"Quite frankly I don't give a dam and y'all know that. But all you can do is be there for her when she's ready. She's already going through a lot right now with Marquis still being in that coma. Not on no lovey dovey stuff either but as a friend."
"I hear y'all." We talked some more before I went back to my hotel. I was off for the next few days so I think I should stay in Cali.
