Shadow pov
All my life I have been looking for a weakness, something to use against Superman. I think I have finally found it. I couldn't help but the evil chuckle that escaped past my lips as he closed the door. I turned around to look behind me and found exactly what I was looking for. I smirked coldly and waltzed across the street.
I heard a few people gasping and cars honking in my direction which only caused my smirk to grow, but I paid no attention to them. I went deep enough into the alley for me to see out but no one was able to see me. I had night vision and that was a reason I did this. I chose this life.
I watched the house hoping, waiting, for a perfect time. I saw a window open and two small hands stick out of the second story. The small girl hopped out onto the roof and turned to look back at the window. She looked out towards the woods and I can only hope she chose to come towards the street. I needed my chance and this might be the only time. She looked out towards the houses and my smirk grew impossibly wider. She walked towards the edge of the roof on the side of the house. She glanced down and gracefully hopped down with ease. I cursed under my breath and watched her walk away.
She was a super. Except for night vision, I had no powers. Shit.
Niall pov
I can't believe Louis planned on keeping my precious angel locked up for eternity. How was that supposed to help her stay safe? He should've known eventually she was going to be found out. I'm just happy I found her. She's all mine and no one else can have her.
I pounded on her door trying to get her to open up. "Leah! Please!" I pleaded desperately. I knew she was crying and it broke my heart into pieces. I couldn't stand the thought of my baby hurt in any way.
Louis came up behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Let her have a moment to think things out." I growled and could feel my eyes dilating. I whipped around to face him. "This is your fault. All your fault. I can't believe you really expected to keep her locked away forever. Away from me." My voice was deathly calm and that is how you knew just how mad I was. I was livid. I felt another growl escape my lips and I felt his grip on my shoulder become tighter. "Niall. Breathe." My fist flew out and connected with his jaw. Fists flew repeatedly earning deafening cracks with the force of our inhuman strength. As soon as they hit they were already being healed. The only thing that stopped me from the fight was the voice that whimpered desperately in my head.
