I stopped when I got about a half a mile into the woods to catch my breath and figure out exactly where I planned on going from here. I had finally escaped. I am finally free. I don't even know what to do, it's such a new feeling to me. I'm just happy that none of the boys are trackers or else I would be in major trouble.
I looked around at my surroundings to see exactly the same thing in all directions. Tall, pine trees lined the forest in every turn. Well, shit. No one should realize that I'm gone until morning time.
I turned my head and looked up at the sky to see stars covering every part of the blackness. I smiled lightly despite the fact that I was completely lost in the middle of the forest. This would be the perfect time to find out if I could fly. I don't know all of my powers yet because I haven't been able to try out a lot of things.
I got in the stance I have seen my brother use on the news and nothing happened. I huffed frustrated and stood back correctly. Well, it was worth a shot I suppose.
I heard a rustling coming from my right and whipped my head in that direction. I saw nothing, but a few leaves crunching and rustling about in the light breeze. That can't be good. "Who's there?" I called out into the wind. I don't believe anyone knows I have superpowers, so I will keep it to my advantage as long as possible. "Hello?" The leaves kept crunching closer and closer until they stopped about a foot in front of me. "Anyone?" I heard a menacing laugh erupt before a sickly, sweet voice spoke. "Should have never left the house, sweetheart."
I gasped as I saw a figure appear out of thin air and realized that she had invisibility power. Her hazel eyes almost glowed in the darkness as her blonde hair flew behind her in the wind. She was about my height and had the same stance that I had just taken. "Niall would like you to come stay with us for a while." I furrowed my brow in slight confusion and anger. "Us?" An evil smirk pulled at her lips and in a split second she had ahold of my arm in a tight grasp. "Villains." She lifted me into the air and took off superhuman speed.
I still didn't want to use my powers until it became absolutely necessary. I needed to keep it to my advantage as long as possible.
She suddenly stopped and dropped me on the ground causing a wince to escape. It quickly went away with the partial ability to heal myself. I looked around and realized that we had made our way further into the woods and now stood in front of a large log cabin. I stood to my feet and dusted myself off before being abruptly shoved into the house causing me once again to fall to the floor and slide across it. I slid until I hit someone's feet and looked up to see a tall man standing over me with a large smirk on his face. His chocolate brown eyes held a deep darkness to them and his brown hair shaped up into a small quiff.
"Now, now, Stephanie. That is no way to treat our guest." His smile got wider as he bent down and hauled me to my feet to stand directly in front of him. His brow furrowed and he grasped ahold of my shirt in his fist. "She has powers."
