Chapter 15

  We came to a gentle land in my backyard and he kept the firm grasp around my waist as though I would disappear. I groaned lowly while crossing my arms over my chest childishly. I heard rustling coming from the woods and saw two familiar figures appear and stand at our side. I let out a small chuckle at their formation but it quickly slipped away and went back to my scowl. 

  Stephanie had an evil smirk plastered across her lips along with Liam as they stared at me with pure hatred dancing in their eyes. I rolled my eyes at them and looked up at Niall who was glaring holes into them with just as much hatred mixed in his eyes. So, protective Niall is back again? Ugh. He is so confusing. I let out a frustrated huff at my thoughts and rolled my eyes once more causing them to look at me strangely. Their gazes broke from me and were directed behind me. 

  Niall turned around which made me turn with him and his grip tightened. A large smile broke out on my face at the sight of my brother. Maria stood gazing up at Harry with a certain glint in her eyes and Harry doing the same. His arm was wrapped around her waist protectively. What in the world is that all about? I furrowed my brow in confusion at them and raised my brow at Louis who simply shrugged his shoulders reading my thoughts. Zayn stood at Louis' other side glaring at Niall and not even bothering looking at the others. Louis took a step forward which brought the smile back to my face. 

  'Are you okay?'

  'Im fine.' I replied back to him through my thoughts and I could visibly see him relax but still remaining tense.

  "Let my sister go, Niall." I looked up at Niall's reaction to see him smirking evilly. Oh, so now he's back to evil Niall. I seriously wish he would stop changing his attitude. It would make a lot of things simpler. Especially the feelings that were roaming in my mind. 

  I focused back on the two men. Louis was advancing slowly towards us with Zayn behind him and to the right. Harry stayed back with Maria beside him but they were now focused on the confrontation. "Niall." Louis growled out. "Release my sister." "As soon as you release Maria." I looked to Harry and Maria and he shook his head. He shot me a sympathetic look causing my eyes to widen. "No." Harry hissed at Niall while pulling Maria behind him protectively. "She's not a villain anymore." Niall let out a dark chuckle. "Once a villain, always a villain." "She's not!" Harry growled out taking a menacing step forward whichever only brought a smirk to Niall's face. 

  I looked to Louis who was slowly advancing. "Just hand her over." Niall pulled me back shaking his head stubbornly. Liam stepped forward to stand directly beside me once Louis got just a few feet away. "We had a deal." Niall's voice laced with anger. "Deals are broken sometimes." "Then I keep her." "No." Louis advanced a few more steps until he was just a foot away. Louis had a pleading look cross his face and flash in his eyes. "Please." Zayn was right beside Louis now but still kept his focus on Niall. "There doesn't have to be a fight if you just give her to me." 

  Stephanie soon stepped forward to my left and got into a strong stance. Her hands clutched in fists spread out slightly at her sides and her legs slightly spread apart. I knew she had the ability to produce a force field and she was prepared to use it. Liam got into a fighting stance with his hand placed on his sword at the side ready to pull it out if necessary. My breathing picked up when Louis took another cautious step forward. 

  "Now!"
