CHAPTER 6
The next morning, I woke up to Adrian lying beside me with his arm wrapped tight around my waist, holding me to him. I didn't remember falling asleep, but I guess I did. I looked up and studied him for a little bit. His hair was down across his forehead, so I brushed that back to get a better look at him. His lips were full and I couldn't resist the urge to rub my finger over his fuller bottom lip.
I blinked and he bit the tip of my thumb; not hard enough to hurt, but hard enough for me to know that he was awake and knew what I was doing. I looked into his eyes for a minute, just loosing myself in them and I got the urge to kiss him... so I did.
Right before our lips met, my alarm went off and Jayden jumped on the bed to shoot in between us. Adrian went to cover his ears and swat Jayden away from him, earning a growl from him, and then said, "What is that awful noise?"
I said, "A Year Without Rain, by Selena Gomez. Why? Don't you like it? It's my favorite song by her. And sorry about the volume. I have to have it up loud or I won't wake up."
He looked at me for a second with a slight frown until he started listening to the song. He grinned and pulled me closer. "It has a lot of meaning to it, my little star. Would you like to try that again?" he asked.
I faked confusion, "Try what again?"
He stared at me for a minute, deciding on if I was teasing him again or not.
He made the decision when he said," Ahh my little star. You have gotten good at teasing me. How about I remind you, then?"
With that, he leaned down and put his lips on mine. We shared a heated, passionate kiss before breaking it apart to breath. I was tingling everywhere we touched, like sparks were shooting through my body. We stared at each other and I went to go back for another when Grams burst through the door.
"Grandma!!!! Go away. We are trying to have some quality time together," I whined.
"Okay y'all, what did I say about funny business?" she asked. Jayden barked, as if in agreement.
"It is not funny business. We are fully clothed and all we were doing was kissing. It's not like we were ripping each other's clothes off," Adrian said, laughing slightly. We looked at each other guiltily, because if we had kept going that might have been what happened and then burst out laughing. Jayden whined at me.
Adrian laughed so hard that he rolled off the bed and onto the floor, pulling me with him since he was still wrapped in the blankets. Jayden jumped on the both of us and started licking me and nipping Adrian. It only caused us to laugh even harder and my grandma let out a chuckle before turning around and leaving us to clean up the mess we had made.
We worked to untangle ourselves from the blankets and dog and cleaned the room up, then started getting ready for school. He snapped his fingers and was ready, while I rushed to the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed. I wonder how he stays clean when all he does is snap his fingers. Does all the dirt and stuff disappear? That'll be something I'll have to ask him about, I thought to myself. That and tell him I envy that ability.
After getting ready, we drank some coffee and left. Jayden followed us halfway and turned and went back home. We walked the majority of the way asking each other questions, me knowing nothing about him, but him knowing everything about me.
"What is... your favorite scary movie?" I asked him.
"Hmm.....probably Halloween. What is your favorite food?" he asked.
"Chinese!!! I love Chinese food. You should know that since you have been watching over me for so long," I told him.
"Well I needed to ask. Sometimes it's pizza with nacho cheese or fried chicken with gravy," he said with amusement coming through his voice.
"You're right, I have weird cravings sometimes" I giggled at him," Okay back to our game. What is your favorite thing to do, you know other than watch me you creepy stalker?"
"Well I like to read and write, but I love to fly. I would do it all the time if I could. It's so freeing. I guess that's why I like it so much."
"Cool," I said. I looked up and saw we were almost to the school. I thought, Man does time fly when you are having fun.
