    When we got home that day, I saw a strange car parked in my driveway. We walked up the drive to the door and when I went to open it, the door knob was yanked out of my grasp. I looked up in time to see my father's fist flying towards Adrian. He blocked it while pulling me behind him and letting out a growl that had the dogs barking and deck vibrating from the power of it. My dad faltered in his attack for a moment, but then renewed it after the initial shock.

    I stared, horrified, as my father landed a punch square to Adrian's nose. My feline unfurled within me, urging me to rip whomever hurt our mate apart. I felt my eyes changing to blood red in anger. I started shaking and heard my clothes start to rip. Rose and Dawn took quick steps back and gasped as they saw my monstrous sized feline standing there in all her glory. I took a few steps forward and snarled at my father. I quickly moved in front of a now bleeding Adrian and hissed, my ears flattening on my skull in fury. Adrian came up and told me to come to him and I backed away into him, keeping myself in front of Adrian.     "I am Adrian, a dragon-shifter. We are life mates and I have known this for eighteen years and Em has known for a little over a week now. She is also carrying my child within her. We completed the mating when her heat struck and just found out she was pregnant yesterday. Why are you here and who are you?" Adrian asked.

    "I am Embarra's father, William, and I am here because her grandmother called me. She said that Embarra now knows about my  and her families history and about what we are. I thought it would be best to talk with her. If she ever shifts back, that is," he said, looking at me.

    I looked at Adrian, stood up, went around him and started head butting him through the door. My father, being the dumbass he can sometimes be, went to hit Adrian again...I didn't miss. My claws sliced his upper arm and he yelped, jumping back. I glared at him and shoved Adrian to my room. I shifted back, not bothered by my lack of clothing and went to see to Adrian and his nose. I looked at his nose and mouth to make sure nothing was broken or bruised to badly and finding nothing wrong I went to get some clothes on. Adrian grabbed my hips and pulled me back to him before I moved out of arms length. He tightened his hold on me and said,"The next time you decide to rub your scent on me, make sure you do it when we can be alone. We will have to make this one a quickie."
