                   CHAPTER 19

    I woke up to beeping and whooshing sounds in my ears. I cracked open my gritty eyes andd peered around the white room I am in. I was back in the hospital, but couldnt recall the reason why until I turned around to look more cautiously at my surroundings. I felt a slight pinch in my side and memories came flooding back into my head with such force I gasped. This brought a stir all over the room and I took a careful glance at the floors and the other side of the bed. There, on the floor, were my parents and grandma in their feline forms and Adrian's tail wrapped halfway around the room and curled back on itself. I looked back to the other side of the bed and saw his snout and some of his head eyeing me on the side of the bed. They must have brought in a king sized bed or added another couple to this one to hold his head by my side, I thought. My brother was snoring in the chair at the foot of my bed.

    My gasp brought everyone to their feet, except Adrian who would have brought the roof down on us. I shifted around to look into his brilliant green eye and spoke into his mind, What happened? Is the baby okay? Am I okay?

    You're fine, the babies are fine, and Brianna stabbed and you passed out after doing some damage to her first. She is alive , but she won't be coming to school for a while.

    I sighed in relief then it sunk in what he had said. Did you say babies? As in plural form of baby? How many and how could you tell? How long have I been here?

   Yes babies. We are having quintuplets. You are further then we thought. You are about two and a half months or so and will be expecting in about seven or eight weeks. You are only a week and a half and you are showing a good little bit already. Haven't you noticed?

    I looked down at my stomach and could see a baby bump looking at me. I realized I wouldn't be out of school when I started showing and I would have a lot of explaining to do. I sighed and started thinking of what to say to everyone at school. Maybe Hey guys our english teacher is my baby daddy yay! or maybe Hey guys so my english teacher and I are life mates and well we are having quintuplets yay! I didn't know what to say but I wasn't worried to much about it either.

    The doctor came in and said,"Hi Embarra. How are you today? Any nausea or pain?" I smiled at him and felt a puff of warm air on my neck; I looked over and smacked Adrian's snout.

    "Don't be jealous. It doesn't suit you.... Oh who am I kidding? It suits you very much. And no Antonio, nothing at all. I feel fine, just hungry. Why aren't you freaking out? There is a monstrous dragon, three giant felines, and I am much farther along than I was when I first came in," I stated.

    "Well, Embarra, I am a shaman, like a medicine man. I've never seen anything like this, but its not all that bad either. I hope you are okay with all you have found out today."

    "I am. What happened to Brianna? How badly did I hurt her?" I asked.

    "Well, she came in and was unconscious. She had a couple of teeth missing and along with that some hair was gone too. She was bleeding majorly from several scratch wounds and we took x-rays and found she had a broken nose, wrist, jaw, and all of her nails were broken. She has a black eye and a very large lump on the back of her head. So all in all you hurt her pretty badly,"he said.

    I smiled and said,"So can I go home? I want some food and a good nights sleep."

    "Yes you may go home. Just be careful and try not to hurt anybody else. Good luck and see you at your next ultra sound," he said.

    "Okay guys go change back and lets go home. I'm tired and need some food for the babies and myself," I said. Everybody shifted and headed to the bathroom to get clothes on. After everybody was dressed we went home ate and went to bed for a peaceful nights sleep.
