Claim Me?? Sorry, I'm Already Taken!!

                  CHAPTER 17

    The next morning, I woke up to nausea roiling through my gut. I got up and ran to the bathroom, throwing up whatever was in my stomach. Adrian came in and held my hair away and rubbed up and down on my back to help soothe it. When I was done, I brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth out. Adrian stood behind me the whole time with his hands wrapped around my stomach. I spit into the sink and washed it out, then went to get ready for school. It was Thursday and I was ready to get this week over with. I didn't feel bad necessarily, but I didn't feel great either.

    I got ready and started getting my breakfast. My tummy rumbled and I felt like I hadn't eaten in days. I grabbed six pancakes, four eggs, twenty pieces of bacon, three hash browns, two cups of milk, and three of coffee. I demolished my food and got my bag for school. Adrian met me at the door and we started walking. Adrian was so happy we were having a baby and, in all honesty, I was too. I thought about what they would look like; if they would have my eyes and Adrian's hair or vice versa, how big would they be, what kind of shifter would they be, stuff like that. I couldn't wait to feel it kicking and moving around inside of me. I would love not to have morning sickness, but I knew that was part of it.

    "I'm getting us a car." Adrian said, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked up at him in confusion. "We need one so you don't have to walk to school anymore. It's a long walk and a little bit of excercise is good for you, but not walking the mile to school everyday and back." I shook my head at him and smiled.

    "You are crazy. I like walking. It's better than sitting around all the time. Many women don't get the needed excercise and it is much harder for them to lose the baby fat. Excercising is great, but I'll keep to walking, at least until my back starts hurting from the weight of the baby," I told him.

    He looked okay about it and then said,"Okay. Until your back starts hurting. That's when I'll get the car. What do you want to name them? If it's a girl, how about Merida and for a boy Xavier or Aiden?" he asked, looking thoughtful.

    I thought a moment, then said,"I like the boy's names and Merida is beautiful. How about Esmerelda for another girls name?" I asked.

    "I love it. So, Xavier or Aiden for boys and Merida or Esmerelda for the girls. I love them. They are beautiful, just like you," he said and kissed my hair. We were almost to the school now and we parted ways when we got there.

    I was on my way to second period, when someone grabbed my arm and pulled me roughly into a janitors closet. At first, I thought it was Adrian, then I got a dim view of his face. It wasn't Adrian; it was my algebra teacher, Mr. Jack Ripperson. I saw a glow come from his eyes and when I looked closer, I could see the lust shining in them. They reminded me of a cats' eyes. It dawned on me that that was what he was... a feline-shifter.

    "You have no idea how long I have waited for you to go into your first heat. I've waited three long years and you finally can be mine. I can finally claim what is mine,"he said, licking his bottom lip.

    I grimaced, but my look soon turned to defiance. I looked at him for a minute and said,"Sorry hun, but I've already been claimed and when he gets here, he will kill you and swallow you whole. I am his lifemate and his child is the one I am carrying, not yours. It will never be yours as long as I have a say in it. You will never put your filthy hands on me or my baby." He was smirking when I started off, but then his smirk turned to disbelief then anguish. He lunged at me, surprising me and laid there for a minute before hearing my shirt rip. I felt a cool breeze on my chest and I got pissed. That's when I felt it. My bones started shifting and breaking, fangs were growing in my mouth and fur moved under my skin. It hurt a little at first, but the pain quickly faded as I shifted to my other form. I looked at myself and realized that I was huge.I had all the attributes of the four different felines, with whom I shared blood.
