An hour and thirty minutes later...

It is now the end of the ceremony and I am currently trying to find my wife through the crowd of rowdy students, because for some dumbass reason they had us separated. After about three minutes of unsuccessful searching, I pull my phone out to call her, but stop when I feel her hand tap me on my shoulder, so I spin around and is instantly almost knocked over as she jumps into my arms yelling,"We did it baby! We did it! We did it! We did it!"

I chuckle heartily, while locking my arms around her waist tightly saying,"Yes we did baby girl." The both of us graduated with valedictorian along with many many other achievements so she's very ecstatic about that as am I, because damn was it not easy.. I lightly place her back down to her feet and caress her cheek with my index finger saying,"I am so proud of you moroso (sweetheart/darling)..."

She smiles up at me and wrap her arms around my neck and say, while threading her fingers through my hair,"I am very proud of you too daddy.." I grin and bite down on my bottom lip almost bashfully, feeling my confidence boost tremendously as I caress her lower back and hips, pushing her closer to me asking lowly,"Are you ready to leave Mrs. Dolan?.." She nods and remove her hands from around my neck and grab onto my hand saying,"Yeah." I nod agreeably and kiss the back of her hand saying,"Let's go then."

First we head up the bleachers to tell our parents, friends and other relatives we're leaving, including our son. As soon we spot them, they all rush over to us and damn near maul us over with hugs and kisses, my mom especially. She battles between kissing Nelly and I both against her parents, Valentino, and my nonna and nonno. I hug both of my parents and grandparents saying,"Gracie Gracie (Thank you)!" My nonna kisses both my cheeks and say happily, while looking at both Nelly and I,"Oh mio dio! You're both all grown up! I mean I knew you were already maturing, but now... Wow, just... I don't even know what to say."

Nelly hugs her tightly and say, as my nonna begins to cry,"Aww thank you nonna... You don't have to say anything, we understand. I love you." I just smile down at the two of them and their whole transaction, it was just so sweet the way they held each other. Nonna kisses both of her cheeks and smile brightly at her saying, once they pulled away,"Oh I love you more my beautiful nipote (grandchild)..."

Nelly just blushes wildly and wrap her arm around my waist as we continue greeting the rest of our family and friends.

After a few minutes we walk over to Nelly's father, who was taking care of our now awoken son throughout the graduation ceremony and Nelly grabs him from out of his arms and kiss his forehead saying,"Hey baby, did you watch mommy and daddy get our diplomas? I heard you yelling earlier when mommy walked across the stage so I know you did buddy." He only coos in response and begin speaking incoherently as I say,"Yeah daddy heard you too Pollo, I guess you're our number one fan huh?" Nelly chuckles and I pull the both of them close to me and start tickling Apollo's sides making him squirm a little in Nelly's arms as he erupts in innocent giggles, bringing a bright smile to both of our faces, including everyone else.

I stop tickling him after a while then say to him,"Alright son I need you to listen up okay, your mother and I are going to go out tonight, just the two of us, so that means you'll be staying with nonna Kelly and nonno Trevor alright little buddy?" His tiny lips frown deeply as he pouts sadly and let out a small whimper, and the sight almost breaks my heart. Nelly instantly pulls him closer to her chest and run her fingers lightly over his head full of curls saying, as he rests his hand on her necklace, the pout still evident on his face,"I know baby, I know, but don't cry, we'll be back before you even know it alright? I'll be home in time to sing you a song and read you a book, how does that sound Apollo?" He doesn't say anything, just holds onto her pendant tighter and sniffle. It pains me to see him so down...
