A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered. Upon their arrival, the doctor said that they have invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mother's labour pain the father to help the mother and to let the father know what sort of pain women go through in labour. The couple said that they were willing to try it out.
The doctor transferred 10% for starters, explaining that it was probably more pain than the father had ever felt before.
However, as the labour progressed, the husband said that he felt fine and asked the doctor to kick it up a notch. So the doctor turned the machine up to 20%. The husband was still feeling fine so the doctor checked the husband's blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing and decided to turn it up to 50%. The pain transfer was obviously helping the mother out a lot, so seeing as the father was still quite fine, they decided to transfer all the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain.
She and her husband then went home, only to find the mailman dead on their porch.
