Riley's POV
(If this is really short I am sorry because I am stuck on this)
It was the weekend after Lucas apologized to me and we were hanging out in the woods behind his house. It was a beautiful day and we were sitting down. He had his back propped against a tree and my head propped up on his head. It was completely silent, until Lucas broke it.
"Do you think we will ever get out of here?" Lucas asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked sitting up.
"Like out into the world," he explained, "We have been with our parents all of our life."
"Well, maybe," I answered, "Why do you bring it up?"
"Because I know wherever you go I want to be right by your side," he said.
"Lucas, it isn't that easy," I replied.
"Can't I dream?" he asked sternly looking at me.
"I never said you couldn't dream," I said.
"Do you wanna know what forget it," he said.
"Why did you bring it up?" I asked.
"I don't want to lose you again," he said.
He looked directly into my eyes.
"I don't want to lose you either," I said.
We gazed into each other's eyes for quite some time before he leaned in and placed his soft, smooth lips onto mine.
No matter what he always makes me feel the same whenever he kisses me. Making the feeling go down all the way to my toes and the feeling of my heart beating out of my chest. A feeling that I don't ever want to replace.
We pulled off and we gazed into each other's eyes a little longer.
"Kids, where are you two?!" Lucas' mom screamed.
"It must be time to go get lunch," he said smiling.
We ran back to the house and met his mother back.
"Where did you two go?" she asked.
"We went in the woods," Lucas said.
"Ready for food?" she asked.
"Please!" Lucas and I exclaimed at the same time.
The smallest things can make the biggest difference to you
