Riley's POV
It was only first week of school and Lucas and I haven't hung out any ever since school started. It was lunch and I was determined to get the reason why we haven't been hanging out at all ever since school started.
"Hey, Lucas," I said.
"Hey, Riley," he said.
"Can I talk to you?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure," he answered.
We walked in the halls where there was nobody in.
"What is wrong?" he asked.
"Why have you been ignoring me?" I ask.
"What do you mean?" he asks.
"I mean you don't talk to me or even text me back anymore," I explain,"I haven't gotten a text back from you since the night before school started. That is not like you."
"What is wrong with me wanting to hang out with my friends more than you?" he asks.
"When you are making your girlfriend feel like you don't want her to be with her anymore then maybe you need to rethink your plan," I exclaim kind of loudly.
"What is your problem?" he asks.
"My problem is you are acting like I am a wisp in the air," I say.
"No, I am not!" he fires back.
"So, totally ignoring me isn't bad?" I remark. I wasn't exactly wrong. He hasn't talked to me ever since school started.
"It is," Lucas starts,"but I haven't been able to spend any time with my bros ever since school got out."
"You chose to hang out with me!" I yelled.
"No I didn't," he screamed.
"You were the one who texted me whenever you were bored and invited me over," I said angrily.
"You are-" he began before I cut him off rudely.
"Do you want to know what, forget it. Forget about me for all I care because I am glad I am finally seeing your true colors," I practically scream back at him. I storm off angrily before he attempted to grab my arm.
"Riley," he said.
"Forget it," I say and before he can say anything else I am gone.
I meet up with Smackle and Maya with tears in my eyes.
"Riley, what's wrong? How did it go with Lucas?" she asked.
"We got in a fight," I mutter,"I can't believe it. Saying that I was the reason we were hanging out a bunch when he was the one always asking me to hang out."
"That sucks," Smackle said.
"Your kidding," Maya said.
"Do you think that I would be crying if we didn't," I remarked.
"He is back," Smackle whispers.
"I'll be right back," Maya says. Before, Smackle and I can say anything otherwise.

Lucas's POV
I was walking back from where Riley and I got into that fight. I had that pit in my stomach that you have when you know you made a really bad decision. I fought with Riley. My world, I hurt. Before I got one foot farther Maya was in my face.
"Maya?" he asks.
"I'm not here for you," she said,"I know my sister, like I know my own mind you will never find anyone as trusting and as kind. I love my sister more than anything in this life. I will choose her happiness over mine every time. Put what we had aside. I'm standing at her side. You could never be satisfied, God, I hope your satisfied.

"Maya, let me-" I start.
"You invented a new kind of stupid," Maya said before heading back to Riley.

Riley's POV
Maya went up to Lucas and said something before she came back. She probably said something about how he was stupid.
"What did you say?" Smackle asked after Maya sat down.
"I just told him off," she explains,"He has no right to treat you like that."
I don't know how I will ever be able to forgive him.
