Lucas' POV
It had been about a month or so after Riley and I got in a fight so I wanted to do something sweet for her.
"Hey, Farkle," I said in between classes.
"Hey, Lucas," he said, "What's up?"
"I want to something for Riley," I said.
"Get her chocolate," he said.
"Why chocolate?" I asked confused.
"All girls love chocolate," he explained.
"Okay," I said.
After school that day I went to the store in hopes I would find all the things I was looking for.
I was looking for chocolate, a teddy bear, card, flowers and popcorn.
I wen tot he candy aisle and started looking around when about four teen girls came into the same aisle as me.
"Anna, he is really cute," I heard one of the girls say.
"Oh my goodness, he is Ryan," who I am guessing is Anna said.
"Tell, Laney and Illessa," Ryan, I think, said.
"Laney, Illessa," Anna said, "Look at that guy over there."
I was sure they were pointing at me. My suspicions were confirmed when one of the girls walked to me and introduced herself.
"Hi, my name is Illessa," she said, "What is yours?"
"My name is Lucas," I said before I went back to picking out chocolate for Riley.
"What are you doing?" Illessa asked.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" I asked. I was getting a little aggravated.
"It looks like your picking out some chocolate for somebody. Who is it for?" she asked.
"My girlfriend," I said.
"Oh," she said before walking back to her friends.
"Did you get his digits?" one of the girls asked.
"Did you hit it off?"
"Does he seem nice?"
"Do I have a chance?"
These are all questions that I heard before I heard Illessa tell the group that I wasn't exactly available at the moment.
I quickly got the rest of my things that I needed and got out of there in hopes that I wouldn't see the group again.
I went home after I got all my stuff and started putting stuff together.
I wrote inside the card: "To an irreplaceable girl that deserves way more than me and my odd self. Love you Riley!!"
"Hey, Lucas," my mom said.
"Hey mom," I answered.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"I am writing in a card for Riley," I answered.
"How sweet!" she replied, "Is this for like an anniversary or something?"
"No, I just wanted to do something sweet for her," I explained.
"I knew that you were going to be a ladies man. Your father always said that you were going to be the player but I was right," my mother said with a smile.
"Congratulations mom, I'm going to take this to Riley's house now," I said.
I went out to my car and put everything in the back before driving to Riley's place. I finally got there and went to the apartment of the Matthews resident.
I rang the doorbell and immediately Topanga opened the door.
"Oh hey, Lucas," she said.
"Hi Mrs. Matthews. May I speak to Riley?" I asked.
"Riley?" she said.
Riley walked to me after Topanga got out of the way.
"Hey, Lucas," Riley said.
Then she saw everything. The chocolate, the card, the teddy bear the flowers and the popcorn.
"Lucas, did you get this all for me?" she squealed.
"Why would I have asked for you if it wasn't," I asked smiling.
She gave me a huge bear hug which I had to return even if my arms were full.
"Thank you so much, Lucas!" she squealed.
She took the presents and I sat down with her and talked to her parents for about an hour.
Then I realized the smallest gestures are the ones that make girls fall the most. I just have to do enough for Riley to make her say yes.
