Lucas' POV
It was towards the end of our sophomore year. Riley and I got engaged at the beginning of the year and it was finally the day that I was going to be able to marry the love of my life.
"How do you feel about it?" Zay asked. The groomsmen are Auggie, Farkle, Zay and Josh. The best man is obviously Zay. The bridesmaids are Maya, Ava, Smackle and my cousin Hannah.
"I am ready to marry the love of my life," I said.
It was the start and I was walking down to the altar with\ the pastor.
Topanga and my mother followed us. Then Farkle and Smackle, Auggie and Ava, Zay and Hannah and finally Maya and Josh followed them. The bridesmaids were in a maroon sleeveless dress and in black high tops. The groomsmen were in a navy blue tuxes and bright dress shoes.
The flower girl and ring bearer followed the bridesmaids and finally I saw Riley with her father walking down the aisle.
We went through the normal verses and sayings until we got to the vows. We decided to write our own.
"Riley, you may say your vows," the pastor said.
"It started in 7th grade," she read, "I saw a boy on the subway and fell for him. All of these years he has been in my life either my friend or my boyfriend. I have been so happy to be able to spend these last five years loving you and letting my feelings grow for you. I have always helped you and I vow to stand by your side through the rest of our lives. I love you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
"Now you, Lucas," he nodded over at me.
"Riley Matthews," I read, "I have gone through up and downs but the only thing that has been able to help me stay stable is you. Your sparkling dark brown eyes, your smile, your personality, your kindness to everyone you met. I have had the best years of my life knowing you and I can't wait to make new memories with you. I know this probably won't be as good as yours but you have been there for me and I think the best way to repay you is to give you my last name. I can't wait for you to become Riley Friar. I love you to Pluto and back. I will never be ready to spend the rest of my life with you but I am doing it anyways. Love you my little chump."
"Do you Riley Matthews promise to be by Lucas' side through sickness and in health?" said the pastor.
"I do." she said gazing into my eyes.
"Do you Lucas Friar promise to be by Riley's side through sickness and in health?" said the pastor.
"I do," I said while looking into her eyes. Her sparkling brown eyes.
"You may kiss the bride," he said.
I placed my hand on her head and softly kissed her.
"May I be the first to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Friar!" the pastor cheered.
We ran down the aisle and the whole wedding crew followed.
We ended and met up with the photographer.
"Are we going to take pictures now?" she asked.
"Yeah," we said.
Then we went through pictures and the reception. We danced the night away. I couldn't have asked for a different day.
There are going to be bad days but those amazing unforgettable days will be the ones that pick you up.
